F.y.i. I have it confirmed from a close friend that he got his extension (have a O-A) here in Chaiyaphum. He came here on O-A and was going for retirement like he always is.. But did found out that Immigration (Chaiyaphum), said that he needed a health insurance.... He (his wifey) did ask, so if they apply based on marriage instead?? That was OK NO health insurance was needed.... So he got his extension based on marriage and he is happy, So Dr Jack is correct...

Udon Thani based falang claims that extensions are raised from 1900 baht to 2.500 baht. Is this just the normal uneducated falang-romours or is it true?? Anybody knows..????

Can it be that you were leaving and entering Thailand via a landboarder??? I have heard here that TM6 is still in play there... Only entering via air they have taken this TM6 away.... You do not mention how you have entered Thailand, so can not reply in any other way..

For us actually living here in Thailand there is certainlya fourth option. Just confront the guy yourself when he is in action and just quite him down, silence him with gestures if you cant the lingo.... Make it clear what you think about it and his mingeling in your business...
