Down under or Thai? Aussie mum trades Oz for Land of Smiles
Gottfrid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Exactly! Just 1 year ago, and they would have had over 30% ROI on S&P 500 ETF Trust. That would have been over 8 million baht. That could have paid for a very descent house with pool in Kathu, Chalong or even Phuket town. It´s half of a pool villa in Rawai. All with 3 bed and 2 bath. How much do you really need, to be stupid enough to risk more money than necessary? -

No more slack: Thailand tightens the noose on illegal workers

Here we can see the knowledge of presumable educated people. It´s called Labor Department and Not Department of Employment. After that, we can have some fun with the guy who have the DOE shortcut. DOA is Dead on Arrival, which mean the he must be Dead on Exit. -
Ok, I didn´t see that. Have no link at all. However, I did declare some years ago, but as we all know they work different and maybe saw a chance to get Friday party money. Anyway, I will get information tomorrow directly from the customs at airport as I am flying to Dubai.
-
Yeah, I can see that, and I can read as well. Why do you feel the need to give me information I´ve already read once again. The information above, is taken from under the headline for green line (Nothing to declare). Of course you must throw it in the box if you say you have nothing to declare. Otherwise you are trying to smuggle in excessive amount. You tell me instead. Where in this information, does it stand that you can not walk the red line and declare excessive amount and pay duty for that amount? Now please answer the question and refrain from posting me info I´ve already told you I´ve read.

Oh my God! It´s the end! The mad gene has gone airborne. -
Ok, I think you will have to explain that a little bit more. I have seen that info, from the customs website. It only stands that amount is duty free, but where do you find info about that you are not allowed to pay duty on excessive amount? I have done, so I talk out of experience. However, it was a couple of years ago.

Yeah, of course I am. Do you usually make assumptions based on somebody else values? If so, that´s weird! If you don´t have that by the age of 17, it´s time to reconsider life. You make judgements everyday at that age. Never said the police officer behaved in a correct manner. I am sad that we are lacking your great expertise, knowledge and work. So, in other words she didn´t have food, and needed to rush at midnight for not go to sleep hungry. Have I understood it right now? -

Yes, you can if you go on red and declare. No license needed if it can be assumed you bring for own consumption. For license to be needed the value must be much higher than only 6 bottles, if they are not old, found on the bottom of the ocean and only exists in a dozen. 😉 According to the rules, you should go red, declare and should be given a flat rate to pay as customs tax. However, that can differ, and as they have fairly high tax on importing wine, they might give you a little bit higher price tag.

I would say that your statistic numbers that you seem to blindly believe are wrong and the deaths are misinterpreted. Regarding the 34 children, I think they have counted the victims in the bus fire. Something that would mean, that during the time mentioned 20 children and 2 adults were killed in that accident. Something that makes it impossible to reach 80% motorcyclists in the fatalities.

Could do with some support and advice here ?
Gottfrid replied to The Cobra's topic in Marriage and Divorce
Wow! For once we actually stand on common ground. Agree 100% and the OP should really consider getting out. Sounds to me, he overthink what would happen to her if he leaves. The answer, is simply nothing that didn´t happen to her before he met her. Also, I feel a fear of leaving, and maybe what she would do to him/herself if he tried. That´s really a big sign of a non-working relationship. In my mind it can only get worse if he stay, and better if he leave.. You are right, but it way more common and visible on people from that business. Ok, so what you are recommending the OP, is that he should stay, sit in a corner and be a mouse. -

Parents Demand 1.21M Baht Compensation for Children They Didn’t Raise
Gottfrid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My god! You are talking about stupid? Who should pay 12 000 per month on a 12 000 per month salary? Are you dreaming? where did you find that information? I said a total price of in general of 4 000 baht. Are you calculating with 3 children? I understand it can be hard with 4k as well, but there are cheaper options too. And, what we are talking about here, is only the first years, as they start school early in Thailand. In that case there are free schools, where you only have to pay like 600-900 baht per month for the children to stay longer and even get extra tutoring after school. But, now I had enough conversation with you today. Have a great day, and take care. -

A good advice, is that you stop wasting time with compassion for nonsense. They do not have to leave their children. They choose to leave their children! Almost everywhere, there are possibilities to find daycare for children. It cost all between 3 000 - 5 000 baht per month. Shared by two parents, that is 2k baht per month. Then they can leave their children around 06-07 in the morning and get them around 16-17 in the late afternoon. That option exists both in many schools as well as in private care centers and private home centers. You also post It doesn´t matter by which family member the child got raised. Oh yes it does! Children are morally entitled to be raised by their biological father and mother, whenever possible. Children have the right to be raised by a mother and a father. Taking away that right, will go against the pure foundation and reason for having a child. Only looking at them as a possible bankbook when reaching old age. People should not make children, if they can not be there to care for them, more than sending money to somebody else who do the emotional care. -

I don´t know what you are talking about. What Thai bashing? Have I written something that is not true? I also, only mentioned Thai in relation to laws as the specific incident mentioned regards Thailand. Otherwise my post is very objective and can relate to any country that battles with corruption. If you are tired, I can´t care less about. Maybe you should consider following your own post and ignore, then. Or you can just leave it be and go on with your life, right?
