Dear folks, I am now planning to completely board-up my bedroom windows...with plywood....painted with white paint. The purpose is two-fold. a. I want to reduce sound transmission into my bedroom. b. I want to reduce radiation from the sun which heats up my room, and costs me extra money just by making my AC work harder. So then, in Thailand, what is the brand of paint which is most reflective? Speaking of radiation, nobody likes this. I need to block all radiation, except for the neutrinos, from the sun getting into my bedroom, not only visible light but also infrared. So, what is the best brand of paint available here in Thailand? Thank you. Gamma

Dear Linux Friends Around the World: For some reason, unknown, after updating the BIOS on my computer, using standard procedures…. I am receiving unwanted messages from Area 51, even through my tinsel hat….which is something that very rarely, if ever happens to me. Has this ever happened to you, upon BIOS update on a linux box? And, if so, then what do you do? Do you just suck it up? Or, do you try to solve the problem by checking the voltage to your RAM? OR, do you deny the messages from Area 51, even though, deep down, you know they are there, and that you are just in denial? Here are some things I do to block out BIOS-related ARTIFACTS….. I listen to REALLY LOUD music. I take a cold shower. I have a foot massage in Pattaya. I listen to Jeff Beck perform in Tokyo. All of the above….even though….nothing seems to help. Hopefully, the above tips might be of interest to other Linuxly-interested readers of this Topic. And, one more thing…. I find it most disheartening that there is not much more interest in this Linux sub-forum on ThaiVisa. And…..WHY IS THAT!!!!!???? If you really want to know….I would say that….it might be just a case of incipiently encroaching decrepitude, because, my guess is that the guys on TV are now just too old to care about anything GOOD,….slouches as they seem to have become. Windows is not good enough for them, but neither is Windows too bad, either. We are old on this forum. I now have an A55 5G budget phone....which is fine for me....because it has 12GB of RAM....and I can increase storage memory to One Terabytes.... (I have 256 GBytes as purchased. Plus, I can add plenty more just using Micro SD cards.....up to One TByte....). So, this budget phone is DYNAMITE for me, because I do not waste my time playing FING games on a phone, or anywhere else, for that matter. I just wonder, though, how many here on the TV Farang Pub have ever tried editing a 150-page PhD thesis/dissertation, on a smartphone. Sure, I guess it can be done. And, I have known of one PhD candidate at CMU who composed his entire thesis on a phone....BUT....of course....the thesis was ENTIRE GARBAGE....as expected..... What a NUT CASE this PhD candidate was. And now.... He is teaching at CMU.... Total Disastrous Joke.....of a thesis, in fact..... (Also, pedantic has heck....and STILTED as all get out, too!!!!!) This is what is bound to happen when one composes a 150-page thesis on a smartphone....when....one has enough smarts to fill no more than about 20 pages with original thinking..... So then... How long could one stay in Malaya each and every year, without paying much for a visa, if one were American? For example, if one wished to divide one's time between just two countries, Thailand and Malaya, what would be the best plan to divide one's time? If one wanted to spend maximum time in one country... 9 months in Malaya and 3 months in Thailand, for example.
