Dear All, I have an HP Pavillion laptop on which the keyboard has suddenly started behaving badly (some keys work intermittently and some have stopped working altogether). The battery is also Kaput! This happened suddenly. It is a decent spec.... i7 Intel processor, 16Gb Ram, 1 Tb SSD, so I am reluctant to get rid, but am finding it impossible to contact HP to order replacement parts. Any ideas?......If you think it's not worth fixing can anyone suggest a decent replacement...16-32Gb Ram, 1 Tb SSD, i7 or i9 Chip? I mostly use it for business and streaming TV....Not interested in Gaming, etc. Many thanks in advance!

Why would you consider buying a ticket with an airline in August which might go bust any day??? I just did a search on SkyScanner for (BKK - FRA - BKK Business Class) and got loads of results with better airlines and many cheaper! Cheap flights from Bangkok to Frankfurt at Skyscanner

I just try to avoid it as much as possible! I just see absolutey no "Fun" in it whatsoever since 15 years ago I was riding my motorbike in Lamai and some C*NT threw a full bucket (pail) of iced water at me and had a head-on collision with a Rusky driving his big bike! Luckily we only suffered "Road Rash", minor damage to bikes and us, but could have been Very Much Worse! Since then I just get the booze in, food and just relax with a barbecue with me and GF and Chill at my place! I live near Lamai, Koh Samui and normally the water fight SH*T only lasts one day, so not so bad! My place at dawn......So not all bad!

Koh Samui......In the past apart from Chaweng the Water Fights normally only last one day! Chaweng (Beach Road) is now a Ghost Town so "Come on Down....The Price is Right"!

Yes you can use it, but it is always better to pay for flights, holidays, etc., or other "Big Ticket" items with a credit card as this will give full comsumer protection should something go wrong! For example should Thai Airways cease trading...Which could happen anytime soon!....If you paid with a debit card you would most likely lose all your money, but if you use a credit card you should get a full refund.

I have accounts with Krungthai Bank and Bangkok Bank.....Both offer the option for a very small fee to get online updates to your phone which always alert you to any withdrawals and the new balance! I am sure that other banks must offer similar services???

I had Covid!.....Headache, cough, fatigue and completely lost my sense of smell and taste for 5 days..... (Could be useful in some parts of Thailand) ???? After the 6th and 9th days I tested negative. (ATK)....Still fatigued, but no other symptoms remained except for about 5 weeks I slept less than 4 hours per day and became nocturnal! Still nocturnal....Maybe now revisit Pattaya or Bangla! Just sayin'

I have lived on Samui for 12 years plus. I have left and re-entered Thailand dozens of times and never done or been asked for a TM30!

Obviously this river is far too dangerous! Maybe they should drain it and keep the water somewhere until the next drought comes???

My GF asked how much for Favipiravir tablets for expat (me) at local clinic and they said 10K Thb! I said no thanks! BTW I did not attend the clinic just in case!

I have had Chicken Pox, Shingles, Measles, Flu,etc.,etc., Recently had Covid! Try having Dengue (which I have also had)..... Covid.....My @rse! I went to the doctor and he said, "I think you are suffering from Hypochondria" I replied, "Oh no!.....Not that as well???"

I have just recovered from Covid...Tested at home (ATK), stayed at home.....Flu is far worse than whatever variant I got! No way would I go for a PCR check unless I thought I was near death!...Even then I would think Twice rather than give it to these Robbing B@stards!

Same happened to me whilst riding motorbike!....Wallet fell out once somewhere between home and 7/11!.....Went back to look for it, but of course no sign! Lost about 10K, but more annoying was it had my driving licences (Car and Motorbike) in it, as well as ATM card! What a ball-ache!.....Make police report.....Go to DLT and apply to get new licence copies....Go to bank for replacement ATM!..etc., etc,. Now I only carry cash and/or ATM in my pocket when driving motorbike!...No Wallet!... Always have copies of Passport and Driving Licences in car and motorbike! Once bitten twice shy!.....Which reminds me of a Great Song!.....

Now you come to mention that I have queued at the ATM at my KTB branch in the past and seen people withdrawing only 2-300 Thb.....Now I understand why! Sometimes I forget how privaledged we are and how many very poor people there are here! My Bad!

I have had Krungthai account for 10 years plus and yes branches are always crowded! I recently opened a Bangkok Bank account simply because of the WISE transfer issues (KTB is not on the approved list of WISE for transfers over 50k Thb in one transaction). Wow!...What a difference!.....Took me less than 10 minutes to open the account and set up my Mobile App and cards....Credit, Debit and ATM! The mobile app is much simpler to use than KTB. Also the staff all spoke good English...... And no queue!

With Respect Stigar I am not a Kid anymore.....And Everyone knows that most kids have little if any problems caused by the Virus! I am 64 and can assure you it has had a Negative affect on me! For the record I did another ATK test tonight and it is still positive....13 days since my first positive test! What your kids do or don't do is irrelavent! I hope you don't catch it from them! I was Triple vaxxed and took all precautions....Always wore a mask, social distanced, cleaned hands with alcohol gel many times daily. I still caught it (2 weeks ago). I think that just like the Common Cold..... It is not a matter of "If" you get it (Omicron).....It is WHEN you get it!....If you are not vaccinated then you may get really sick or worse! I am glad I have had it so now I don't have to worry about catching it anymore! Good luck everyone!

I first tested positive for Covid on Monday 7th Feb 2022. I lost all sense of taste and smell for about 5 days, but they are slowly coming back. I also lost 5Kg! .....So not all bad! The other weird thing with this virus is that when I first caught it I slept for 14 hours straight!.....Now even though I feel knackered all the time I can hardly sleep! I also have a bad cough which has shown no signs of going away anytime soon! I had 2 AZ jabs followed by 1 Pfizer Booster before I got ill..... (last one Xmas Day).... But, joking apart I think I may have been in SERIOUS trouble if I had not had the jabs!....Having said that I got an allergic reaction after the second AZ jab! Stay safe!!.....This is not a Bug to be messed about with!..... My brother's GF in the UK has had "Long Covid" for over 12 months!.....She had a Double Mastectomy a couple of years ago due to Breast Cancer!....She is Immuno-Compromised because of all the meds she has to take!....She has been in and out of hospital for weeks at a time since she first caught Covid. People who have never experienced it and say..."Let it run its' course....It's just like a Heavy Cold" have got no idea! Good luck everyone and please "Stay Safe"!
