  1. Save your money. About as useful as teats on a bull.
  2. What about at the departure airport? Did the airline check-in agent actually scan the TP QR code (on your phone or printout), or just check it visually?
  3. So for those of you who have actually boarded flights using TP - did the airline check-in agents actually scan your TP QR code or just look at it on your phone or printout?
  4. Phuket is the exception in regard to PCR upon arrival test as you can book it yourself (a few Test & Go hotels will now offer it, but it seems most will tell you to do it on thailandpsas.com for THB 2400).
  5. I was just trying to purchase your Thailand Pass Service but there's no option for "1 Night Test and Go" for Phuket? I'm flying on the 17th (from Korea) ....submitted TP application successfully on 1 Nov but haven't gotten approval QR, so would rather pay for professional service to expedite this than trust the system. (Just saw you replied to me on LINE. Thank you.)
  6. Less than 48 before the flight? Less than 48 since the last app submission?
  7. I fear your poor sailboat is about to experience a severe lack of wind if you're like most of the rest of us^^
  8. Can you share which hotel? For just a few hours, I (and I'm sure many here) want the cheapest possible one, and under 5k for the whole package is great... Also, did you arrive using COE or TP?
  9. Call police/immigration/tax office and Hotel Association. At our condo we've done this a few times and now the owners (both Thai and falang) stopped doing it. We've recently also put up large signs in Thai/English and Chinese warning of this, as well as the official govt warning to owners, so any tourists who show up at the lobby looking to "check in" are scared off. The police especially have been pretty helpful (even without tea money) because us "good" owners are trying to protect everyone from the "bad" owners risking COVID transmission (555^^) because they are not authorized to act as a hotel nor are condos SHA/SHA+ certified. We had about 20 a-hole owners like this in our building (out of 120 units). Now they are all trying to sell 555. If the tourists can't show a rental contract that is 1 month+, then the authorities will take action.
  10. But Bargirl don't cheat the Thai govt (and by extension, the Thai people), out of due tax contributions. Nor do they cheat the hotel industry out of their deserved bookings. More and more condos are posting warning notices in the lobby about this, and pretty soon there will be a telephone number specifically for reporting these cases. Good. I didn't buy my condo for it to be overrun with tourists and causing unnecessary wear and tear on the common areas, not to mention overcrowding.
  11. Any stay under 30 days is illegal. Technically. ????
  12. https://royalvacationdmc.com/quarantine-packages/sleep-with-me-patong-1-day-quarantine-package/ PACKAGE INCLUDES Required Insurance Airport Transfer on Arrival Thailand Pass Taxes & Service Charges 1 Night Accommodation PCR Test on Day 1 They INCLUDE the TP with it if you send them the required docs. How exactly are they able to do/guarantee this when such a large % of applicants cannot? Perhaps the same way in which immi agents are able to do things that regular people can't or have a hard time doing...... wink wink?
  13. All credit goes to the member who originally posted this method. Happy travels!
  14. That's the point. Forcing a move on their part. While I'm generally a "community oriented, follow the process" kinda guy, I do not have the luxury to be 100% kumbaya in this case due to extremem time pressure. Let's be honest, at this point it's pretty much every man for himself and any technical means to an end that people discover can only help.
  15. I'll be damned, after trying 8x to do the "Test & Go" submission, I accidentally^^ tried your method and got the approval/QR immediately. At the very least, I'll be able to use this as a backup to at least board the flight while I continue to wait for (and probably submit a few more) Test & Go submissions in the meantime before my flight in a few days. Worst case scenario, they'll make me purchase and do 10 days q upon arrival, but I'm willing to do that if necessary. Now if thousands more make this mistake^^(wink wink) it can only be to our advantage for obvious reasons.
  16. Thailand Pass works great once you decide to PASS on Thailand.
  17. @AndreasStr @wehmoen How many hours did it take for both of you to receive the approval mail, and if you don't mind sharing, what are your departure dates?
  18. Slightly confused. So if all docs have been successfully uploaded and then you get that "Success" popup with the green checkmark that says "You will receive approval and certification from Thailand Pass by QR code for traveling to Thailand via registered email"......then the next mail/notification from them will be the actual approval that contains the QR code? And for that we should wait 3-7 days (I see that some folks say they got the "confirmation" almost instantly or "within hours") - are we talking about the same thing here? Because I successfully submitted my docs about 7 hours ago and have received zero notifications/email about anything. And what if the docs get rejected - are we notified of this via an email?
  19. I'm just waiting until the first ads pop up here offering TP processing services for those who are not able to get it done themselves. ????
  20. I have had a BKB Master debit card and outside of Thailand (and sometimes even in T) it has pretty much always been about as useful as teats on a bull. It doesn't even have my name on it, so often times I can't even use it for the most basic online purchases like domestic flights (not all airlines, but most, since the final payment step usually involves entering the card holder name along with the card # etc. Utterly unimpressed, will change banks net time I visit (so in 2055 once the ThaiPass problems are fixed^^).
  21. Another hypothetical: TP is granted and QR issued. I decide to change my schedule and fly a few days earlier. I know that any flight/date change requires TP re-registration (and let's assume the 2nd one also gets approved), but what then happens to the already granted one? Does it get cancelled automatically ans is unusable in case I decide to go back to the original travel date? Or will I have two co-existing valid QR codes for 2 different dates? The TP FAQs do not address this specific question, and I'm not about to be the test rabbit (really tempted though now that I've figured out how to use it problem free....would rather fly after 1 week rather than wait for my scheduled flight on the 20th).
  22. For those who have made it through to the end...have you noticed that nowhere along the process does it ask for the prepaid PCR nor airport transfer confirmation, just "accomodation/booking #"....? I uploaded the official booking.com confirmation email screenshot (SHA+ hotel in Phuket)...arranging the transport with them on the side, and they still do not have a Test & Go system so I asked them for the SHABA id so I can make arrangements for the test at the airport upon arrival at HKT via thailandpsas (TPSAS). Hope this works...
