Yet Again – Shopper’s Slipper Gets Stuck In Store Escalator
If you had quoted me in context, instead of out of context, you wouldn't be asking! What I wrote was: " but like anything mechanical unless maintained correctly they can malfunction."

Yet Again – Shopper’s Slipper Gets Stuck In Store Escalator
I am certainly NOT saying escalators everywhere are "wrong", they are extremely safe, but like anything mechanical unless maintained correctly they can malfunction. I agree with you the parents should take care of their children, but you can't keep your eye on them all the time.

Yet Again – Shopper’s Slipper Gets Stuck In Store Escalator
Well maybe a small to medium child might not think like that?

Singaporean man’s Bangkok airport mix-up leads to arresting headlines
"The Superintendent of the Chon Buri Provincial Immigration Office, Parinya Klinkaysorn, commended the effectiveness of the operation, emphasising that it took only 50 minutes from the time the complaint was filed to the arrest of the suspect." "Afterwards, Kenny was taken back to Pattaya, a two-hour drive away, where he was kept in a holding cell until 1pm before giving his police statement. Two of his friends returned to Singapore first, while one of them stayed behind to post bail for him. Kenny’s passport was withheld during the ongoing police investigations, but it was returned to the Singaporean at noon on Thursday after the case was dropped. The police dismissed the case as a misunderstanding" "Kenny revealed that he had spent approximately 70,000 baht in legal fees and an additional 17,000 baht for two extra nights of hotel accommodation and his flight home. He said" A very expensive mistake, so who should pay for this misunderstanding?

Kiwi’s prison plight ends: Thai hellhole release brings a breath of relief
You may be right, probably we will never know. If he made those allegations whilst in Thailand, even if true, we all know what would have happened? He made the right decision to leave, then write about it! Probably a good idea to not go back to Thailand?

Kiwi’s prison plight ends: Thai hellhole release brings a breath of relief
As you say there are 2 sides to every story! The chances of the RTP coming forth and saying anything is extremely low, so we only have his story?
-
Kiwi’s prison plight ends: Thai hellhole release brings a breath of relief
You make a good point. Thai media especially TThaiger aren't known for reporting accuracy. As you say the RTP would know but as we all know they don't always tell the truth?????

Life certificates and Thai post
Correct, but obviously you would need a UK address. Your question as to why the don't use email is a very good one. I have 3 private pensions and they send an email every 2 years or so that I need to get signed and verified by a notary etc, then I can scan and email the form back, which of course obviates the use of snail mail/post. Rhetorical question but why do the DWP insist on using the 'post' method?
