Certainly agree with you! I have lived and worked in Jakarta for around 5 years and been to Bali, maybe 15 times. Its a place to take a girlfriend, not really a place to get one. If the OP is looking for bar girls etc, paying a bar fine, then no and certainly no Go Go bars! Its more a place to chill out and enjoy the scenery, plenty of culture around if you care to look!

Agreed. They still have foreign/farang tourist police, go to walking street and you can see them, but they are more like liaison and have very limited powers.

The check in staff normally only check the data page, on the passport, to ensure the name and picture on the passport is the same as the person flying, also expiry of the passport. I have never seen them flick thru the pages! Sometimes they need to check for a valid visa for your destination.

Most hotels have CCTV, surely they could get videos and check?
