  1. Thanks for the responses, but after checking (Fn F3) it says the wireless device is turned on, also there doesn't appear to be an off button for wi fi either on the laptop (emachines) or the router. When I said it was a sudden problem, that wasn't strictly true. When I had it connected via wi fi only it was dropping out fairly regularly, which I took to be a True connectivity problem, but now I think it must be the wi fi receiver in the laptop. When it's connected via the LAN cable it's as good as gold.

Check the WIFI connection by taking your laptop to another WIFI area. If you can connect there it may point to you router.

  2. I was also looking for the Nexus 7. Try this link.

    http://thebaht.com/g...le-in-thailand/

Thanks, but they are asking 3000 baht more than the going price of 9900 baht. That's for the 32gb model.

I think that this is the best that you can do right now. I have also looked around Pattaya but to no avail. Just been through Schipol airport and Shanghai and the Nexus was not in any of the duty freeTech stores, so not much hope in Thailand. maybe a world shortage?

  3. It is not just a Thai driving quirk. There is a sigin in Thai at these junctions which states that traffic may proceed in the far left lane at all times. If you could read Thai you would know this.

I am referring to the red lights at the junctions with soi Kow talow and Soi siam cc.

Yes, but what if he doesn't? OP asked a fair question definitely not in need of a Mobi put down

Moby is not a put down person.

  4. Update - lee has denied the murder charge

Boater, you were one of the ones saying he would never be extradited if I remember correctly..........(???)

    <snip>

Your memory is fine, GOM: biggrin.png

Lee will not be back in thailand .... A source said he has a very good lawyer at the uk tax payers expence ,, like I said in the above posts he has been very clever , expect lee on a beach in thailand within 2 years

A lot of people thought the same way. I was one that thought that the British Government would not all extradition, based on the fact that this is the first one in a 100 years. I have to say that I am glad that justice will be given a chance to take its course. Good on the Brit Govt.

  5. Does anyone on this board have a second UK passport and if so how do you use it?

My situation is that I have 2 UK passports and my Thai visa extension is in my 1st passport. I am going to send my 2nd passport to a UK visa service to make an application for a Saudi business visa. (It is very difficult to get a visa for Saudi in Thailand, due to past relations between the 2 Countries).

My question is will I have a problem re entering Thailand on my 1st passport, as it will not have an exit stamp from Saudi? This will of course be in my 2nd passport.

Any constructive advice is welcome thanks.

  6. So is this a return to the system before the Consulate opened where the then Hon. Consul Barry Kenyon was able to provide confirmation of earnings letters to support Visa applications or will the new Hon. Consul no longer have that authority?

I doubt that because the statement says.

'The Ambassador confirmed that a new British Honorary Consul will be appointed in Pattaya but consular cases will be dealt with by the Consular section of the British Embassy.'
