    Interesting. We had a discussion today about the kids in the village.......all flatly refuse to work in the fields and spend all day hammering about on their exhaust, modified motorbikes........the times they are a changin'.

    Very tempted to go down this avenue.....if I thought my longevity was not going to be severely curtailed.

    Not an expert, but read somewhere it must have pedals.....even if they are totally ineffective.....otherwise it could be classed as a motorbike.

    BKK soi 11 won't be paying any attention to this ban I'm sure.......we drank most days right through the total bans during covid lockdown......it helped that the owner's wife of one of the bars was a policeman I guess.

    Found the same....could start off at 140/100 and slowly, with repeated tests, get down to 120/80.........I ended up taking four measurements ignored the highest and lowest, then took the average of the two middle results......all very ify.

    Just seen one going past our front garden.......... slightly wider than the truck, the truck is obviously under powered for the job and there are no chains (should there be chains?)

    Seatbelts are only worn by wusses in Thailand........anyway, if you have a half decent amulet you won't need a seatbelt.

    Just take your phone to shop with a printer.....email the TM47 to them whilst you are they and they will print it out for you......that's what I do anyway.

    SOLUTION: All sugar cane must have leaves left on and the processors (the ones making a fortune at the expense of the farmers) have to strip the leaves and then.......???......mulch them, put into landfill, bundle them, find some use for them....??? Only on-cost, ignoring what the processors would have to do, would be an increase in transport costs.

    Very little is burnt as it stands in the fields......labour rates are so low and the price of burnt cane so low it is more profitable to strip the leaves and burn them as the lie in the field.

    Farmers would need to be earning as much doing that as they earn from harvesting a crop or they won't do it.

    The owners are basically penniless farmers......fining is not a sensible option.

    Incorrect.....the leaves would be cut off the cane and then burnt on the ground......in fact it is unusual to see sugarcane burnt as it stands these days.

    We are rarely at home.....travelling, housesitting, visiting the UK......just do one TM30 for your wife's address and you're done.

    Sad that it takes a civilian with a public profile to bring about any action on a topic everyone knows is endemic within the RTP......corruption.

    Agree....100% In my experience the Dr's we had on our staff were, by and large, very poor teachers........but their qualifications look good on the staff list for the Head and parents who don't know any better.

    I think you'd be surprised how many teach subjects at GCSE for which they don't hold a degree.

    Unless you are teaching to advance levels, it is more important that you are 'able to teach' rather than have particularly advanced knowledge of your subject. I taught Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business Studies and Music to 16 year olds for 25 years, but wouldn't claim to be an 'expert' in any of these subjects.

    I drive from Nong Bua Daeng to Chaiyaphum and I am horrified to witness the risks drivers are prepared to take........overtaking at high speed on bends, brows, dips,.....it is no wonder these accidents are so common.
