These guys turned up to fell some trees next to our property...........at 10 pm last night, pitch black, with one torch????? No.............come back in the morning...............they just carried on. A smaller tree than the one shown, crashed down almost hitting our outside kitchen, but still snapping off a standpipe leaving us with no water. Off they went. Back in the morning.....illegal chainsaw, flip-flops, no safety harness......nothing. They wanted to fell the tree shown in one go, but finally decided to thin it out before felling. One huge branch snapped off missing the guy below by inches. All very entertaining.

Mmmmm.............and this guy is wanging X-rays into peoples mouths.......not comfortable with that.

On top of the sugarcane burning we have a dam being built near us. Many of the trees on the landed to be flooded have been felled (no idea why).......the locals are setting fire to that land to make it easier to find branches hidden by the tall grass.....the branches they will then take home and burn for cooking and heating.....!!!
