There is an LTR holder (supposedly) in our village. He claims to be a web based IT whizz kid. He lives in a wooden shed, the type lived in by the poorest of the poor, with his Thai gf and her mother. Can't see him boosting Thailand's GDP anytime soon.- 95 replies

I drive the wife no more than a km every morning and every evening to and from her sugarcane fields along country roads............. typically I would have three, low level, near misses most days. Un*******believable.

I get the distinct impression that Thais are either past caring or simply too accepting of this kind of thing................I relay this kind of thing to the wife and she just shrugs.

We simply avoid going outside 30 mins before sunset and 30 mins after......rare to get bitten outside of those timings.

99% of the tiles are 'rough' but they still scare me in the rain......the few glossy tiles used, near the BBQ, are impossible to walk on when wet.

We made a big mistake re: tiles outside. I've had to put down tape down in strategic places, as walking in the rain could be fatal.
