  1. i have to say i clicked on the e visa site someone put into this thread. and it looked amazingly easy. im sure im not the only one sick of all these rules.  it looks like the cambodians are making it easy to enter.  my preference would be vietnam but since the viets keep postponing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,people do whats easy and reliable,  from what i see so far cambodia looks like its fairly simple to enter if vacced.  here i come, if the covid extensions are not extended in thailand.  its no secret that cambodia and vietnam are competing for tourists with thailand. if the thais wont let me stay i will just go to cambodia.

I hope they keep them going until they end the expensive quarantine coming back into Thailand. I know test and go is coming back, but the new articles do not say if you must be vaccinated or not. They are not clear if it's the same exact plan as before. Good luck!

new test and go u have to do two nights in hotel not one

This is very true, medical care there is extremely poor (and expensive) and traffic related accidents (including as a pedestrian, and nto matter how careful you are) are very common.

There is one hospital in PP which is a sort of joint venture with Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok and has many Thai doctors. It also has a branch in Siem Reap but small and almost entirely Cambodian staffed. It is expensive, on par with top tier hospitals in Bangkok or even more.

It is imperative to have, at a minimum, accident insurance that includes Medivac. and be prepared to need to travel out of the country for any serious medical problem.

havent been to cambodia in years but the chinese have bought out the cambodians . is that noticable  now.   probably better infrastruture.  but maybe nasty huge casinos etc

Where are you flying from ?

If you are flying from a local Thai airport , you would go through immigration in BKK rather than your local airport , so you would arrive land side in BKK

to and from phillipines onward to europe......might be easier to fly scoot airlines to singapore from and to phillpines and get a second ticket from thier .  but the covid restrictions might be hassle

I know someone whose covid extension is ending early Feb. The local immigration told him that he could extend it again on Jan 24th, which would allow extra time. Don't know if that will help you.

this is my first extension. my gut says they will keep the extensions going and maybe put a limit on the number of them one can get ........two . one?

It was added, as extensions always are (fortunately !) : my visa was ending on Feb 14 and is now ending on Apr 15 (only 28 days in Feb).

this is confusing part as ive been to two immigration offices and they both say they are not tacked onto end but from day of extension so i need to wait now until jan 25 to maximize days given.  mine expires feb 3.................im ok  with only the one covid extension.  im not here to game the systems the covid in my home country is bad right now

I dont predict anything because this goverment is not reliable at all.Now more and more countries lower the gards means no quarantene for fully vaccinated. That can also mean that folks dont have a legimit reason for NOT going back to their country of origin.

except covid is ravishing us and europe. big time right now.  that is excuse enuf to stay put here  . but granted thais probably dont care how bad covid is in my home country...................so in conclusion no one not even immigration knows if the covid extensions will go on.  we wait for some announcement on jan 24 i guess

He is speculating. The current order expires Jan 25th. It is not yet known if there will be a new order.

whether Cambodia is nice to visit is subjective, depends on your interests.

didnt you go to cambodia a few months ago?  how was economy .  ?  shuttered down shops?  did it feel unsafe due to financial insecurity?

  9. anybody had a long transit time in swampy to be clear,  this is a thru ticket.  so i would not leave secured area,  or airport ,  just to keep it simple.  as if one left secured area (if they even could?)  it would mean visa?  or covid testing?  so to keep it simple i have almost 24 hours to be inside swampy airport...........i see s transit hotel inside swampy but dont see any rooms available it might be closed due to covid...............i wonder if a person if they were traveling on the right airline might just buy a lounge access to a airline lounge to kill some hours.  i understand in middle of night they would not be open,  i could bring like a air mattress to sleep on and get a nights sleep.  if i tried to sleep in the muslim prayer room would i get kicked out?  i bet at swampy thier must be some quiet hidden spaces someone could get a night sleep for free on the floor?  finally should i consider leaving the airport?  during covid that seems impossible.  thanks

You keep harping on and on  about people dying from Covid because in your opinion they have brought their deaths on by their unhealthy lifestyle. You have mentioned many times about how  many fat kids you see in your area of NZ even though you mention that YOU are a little chubby and could lose some weight.  If you know that why haven't you lost weight.  Why, because it's not that easy when we get older.   You asked if they were not obese  or had underlying conditions would they be dying of Covid? Yes, I sent you a post about a 41 year old EU Champion kickboxer who was in great shape /unvaxed who died of Covid.

You keep talking about calories in /calories out to lose weight. Not that simple.  We have brown fat cells when younger that burn sugar, carbs, white fat cells for energy They don't store fat.but as we age we lose most of the brown fat cells. Becomes much harder to ramp up energy production to burn the white fat cells.

And what should people who are a litttle overweight or obese do, starve themselves , take a crash diet course so they don't get covid? Or get vaccinated and hope the vaccine will work for them.

You apparently entered the country visa exempt and got a 30 day extension of the 30 day stay it allowed. A visa on arrival is only for 15 days and cannot be extended.

You will apply for the 60 day covid 19 extension at Muang Thong Thani.

The cost and the required documents will be the same as the 30 day extension you got other than the affidavit.

when we gonna hear about further covid extensions? any chatter ?
