  1. i guess my title says all that needs to be stated. its reported that international travelers are spreading the new variant around the world rather quickly so i will assume the covid extension will be extended again.? what date will that happen and will the thais give any clues before hand about the announcement?

  2. phizer says by march they will have a omicron specific booster ready but that would mean delivery to thailand would be august?  i think i wait to get boosted until an updated booster is available,  or at the very least until omicron hits thailand badly . but at the rate this variant is scouring the earth . this might happen quickly.  wear your mask .

What we hear from anti-vaxxers is an endless litany of reasons to minimize the impact of the pandemic.   Obesity is a reality.  Maybe these acutely knowledgeable people could give us a 6 or 8 month warning before the next pandemic so we can all get into shape.  Of course, if you're just plain old or unfortunately have cancer, then you're screwed, but, hey, you probably weren't living by the secretive and always moving anti-vaxxer code.

The vast majority of people who are victims of the pandemic had little or no control over their eventual fate.   Most are people who had little choice but to go to work each day to support their family.  I wish they would stop with the victim-blaming and it's not much more than just that.

the anti vaccers have won this war.  now we all get covid.

From Samui there are currently two options.

Lomprayah is using Lomlahk Khirin (Bangrak)

Marine Passion (Big Buddha pier - where Seatran used to operate.)

hmm. this marine passion goes to ko tao?  i will google it and find out which company this is maybe its raja ferry.  thanks i suspect they wont care about how much luggage i take.  thanks.  its almost offending when you go on lompraya that they have a scale their on the floor and if they want to they weigh your bag to make sure its not over 20 kg.  as i remember it its either 50 or 100 baht for overweight bag

I have flown from BKK to Phuket 2 times the past month. No testing required. Just need to show vaccination at check-in. Its not very strict, they accepted the vaccine stickers on the back of my Driving license. The last time they didn't even ask for it, i guess they just saw the stickers. Had the same procedure at Sarasin bridge recently.

i wonder if unvacced are  giving stickers ,  that imply they have been vaced.

Why do you want to go with the night boat? Do you think they will not see your luggage in the dark?

Why would taking 40 kg extra over weight on a boat be too expensive?

lomprayah is the only day ferry running to ko tao now. none of the other companies go. the other companys dont care about excess baggage but lomprayah does. and they charge big money to bring more than 20kg.  seatran dont care how much luggage you bring though .  but they just discontinued service to ko tao..  no customers i guess

  7. sea tran just dropped service to ko tao..............so if i have 60kg of luggage this lomprayah ferry is going to be expensive.  as they only allow 20 kg of luggage for free..............any other options to go to ko tao?  i could go from either samui or surat thani.  i wonder if night boat is a viable option.  does anyone know the name of night boat and does it go from surat thani.

Lipe is open. Busy for the holidays (about 60% of pre-pandemic levels) with a sharp drop as of yesterday. But still waaaaaay busier than October.

Not all biz survived, but those that did are open. Veg/vegan menus in several restaurants. Many people diving now.

As of today, need to show a vax certificate (or Thai Pass), or recent negative PCR or ATK test (72hrs or less) to come to the island. Speedboats leave from Pakbara Pier to Lipe daily at 11:30am and 1:30pm ????

are rooms cheap thier right now..i havent been thier in ten years
