Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
What I think is completely irrelevant, as I control nothing, but my life. That the world hasn't gone solar, where possible, and is still controlled by fossil fuel corporations, sucking ever bit of profit out of the people, no matter what the effect to the climate is, is the problem. Apparently most don't care enough, so why should I care about them. Plenty of solutions, that should have been instituted decades ago. Still not being used today. I've done all I can willingly, realistically do, the rest is up to everyone else. You are either part of the solution, or the problem. Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. -
EV sales in Thailand to hit 50,000 despite auto loan regulations
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe a 30 ish minute break, to P, stretch, get a coffee/bev and or snack for @impulse while driver 500 kms at a time is too much of a hassle. Then I guess an EV isn't for him. It's welcome break for us after 3 ish hrs on Thai roads. -

Yes, why the edit, and just realized, that was actually your link ???? -
Aren't all pillows 'acid reflux' pillows, if stacked up and raising your head/upper body above digestive system. May be better to find out the cause, instead of treating the symptoms. Possibly a 'hiatal hernia', and easy to fix if once diagnosed. If you eliminated your food & drink, along with stress as the cause.

And what relevance does that have to my reply, except maybe to enforce my thought, they are not staffed to handle misdemeanors, and didn't take action till a murder was committed. Wee bit late, don't you think ? In my experience, police aren't there to prevent crime, simply to take a record of it after the fact.

I thought it was just over 9% From your earlier link: "Total 36,860 vehicles accounted for 9.21% of the 400,042 registered Ror.Yor.1 cars nationwide" Though figure possibly just for a certain time frame. To fit whatever spins they are on about. -
Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
I consider the warming climate change a good thing, in the long run. We can manage and live in a warmer climate .... ... not so sure of humans success in the next ice age. cooler or warmer ... hmm -
Not to victim blame, and R I P, but to confront someone, vandalizing her flag, when it seems to be an ongoing thing, wasn't her best use of common sense. That why you pay taxes & have police. Hopefully since as you say, predominantly Dem area, they weren't defunded to the point of being short staffed to handle all calls.

As stated many times, but feel free to keep repeating that little tidbit of common sense. EV's aren't for everyone -
EV sales in Thailand to hit 50,000 despite auto loan regulations

I've yet to Q up, and I've been O&A on weekends. If I thought the need, I'd just reserve a time slot to charge, and have yet the need to do that. Thanks for pointing out the weekly Q'ing up at petrol stations to keep your ICEV running. I simply park at home, plug in (all of 15 seconds), and it's 'free' w/excess solar, or 1/4 th the price of 91 per kms, if using grid, instead of waiting weekly for that 39.5 baht & rising per liter of 91 from days past. And yet, when O&A, the very few time most actually go O&A, with the need to use CS, the ICEV owners view that as a huge hassle, but not the weekly petrol stop ... hmm. A bit selective, don't you think. -
As soon as you present evidence that the gun was legally obtained. We all know every shooting death is Trump's fault. I stumped my toe the other day, and all I could think of was ... 'damn you Trump' No need to, as I found the information, IT WAS NOT registered to the suspected killer: "Further revelations include that the gun used in the murder was a Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which was not registered to the suspect. Additionally, it was noted that Ikeguchi’s family had reported him as missing the day before the tragic incident occurred." Now, will the owner of the weapon be prosecuted, or will this be simply a continuation of failed enforcement of gun laws already in place. But hey, let's add some more, so people can't defend themselves against nutters and or bigots. Imagine the outcome if she/victim was trained and possessed a firearm. Just a thought.

How much does a Retirement Home cost in Thailand?
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I don't know about the rest of the world, but my retirement home w/24/7 personal care w/benefits cost minimum of 65k a month ???? Any unused is rolled over to the next month, and usual used before that fiscal year ends. Usually unnecessarily, but adds to my quality of life. -
What’s The Fastest Way to Make 50 Five-Egg Omelettes?
KhunLA replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in Western Food in Thailand
I actually resisted opening this thread, thinking it would be a bit silly. You've surpassed my expectations. There are no solutions, and some how, you find it easier to purchase (unhappily) cooked omelets (rolled up scrambled eggs), freeze them, then defrost/microwave them easier than simply the 2 minute prep/cook time to make fresh to your liking. This only highlights my own daily conundrum, why am I reading AN at all, and am I really that F'g bored ???? Suggestion to PoPo when investigating the latest member of the 'Flying Club' ... open their phone/laptop and see if AN was the last thing they were reading. -
Obviously the killer was a bit unstable, and possibly a confrontational nutter. That a flag/flags was the trigger is irrelevant. The day before, it might have been a soda can on the walkway, but nobody to confront him. Maybe the killer was planning on vandalizing all flags that day, and simply got confronted on the rainbow one before finishing the day's anti flag protest. Got to put something divisive in the headline. Moral of story ... avoid nutters, call PoPo, as that's why you pay taxes.

Rice prices spike threatens farmers in Thailand
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's called supply & demand/inflation. If they need the rice locally, TH, maybe cut back on exports. http://www.thairiceexporters.or.th/export by country 2022.html -

Ah ... but it might be a cup of water in a glass ???? -
You definitely socialize in different circles than AN members, crying about 65k a month & 800k a year. Wish I could break just 1 of those hundreds of thousand a month threshold. And some people call me a rich expat ... that's some funny sh!t right there. Relative to ....

KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Don't know what this has to do with TH ... ... but it is amazing, this guy finally is reporting something that is accurate. Maybe, as I didn't watch much of the vid. Though a bit late to the game, as Tesla has been banned from certain areas in CH, at least since 2021. And, if wanting to stay current, not sure if he mentioned this ???? "An airport in central China has lifted a ban preventing Tesla cars from entering its parking lots after the U.S. electric car giant issued clarifications on the functionality of its Sentry Mode, which captures video footage while parked. https://www.sixthtone.com/news/1013528 -
