  1. Is your visa extension date expiry within the new 90 day reporting extension? That was why my last 90 day report was denied. 90 day was due in April but since my Non Imm ext. was due in June they wouldn't approve it online. Funny thing is that when I went to an IO at a small satellite office they gave me the 90 day report for the entire 90 day period, next due in July so I don't understand why they bother to deny the online attempt. The IO even pointed out to me to make sure I was aware my Extension was due in June.
  2. As well for WISE transfers to Bangkok Bank, tried a transfer today and WISE stated it will take until the 8th to arrive.
  3. Happened to me in Hua Hin Immigration last year on a 90 day report. My SF30 had been very old (many years) so the IMM officer asked for me to bring my condo blue book to process my new SF30 and then do my 90 day report without incident.
  4. Thanks, that is good news for me as I will be relocating from Hua Hin to Udon Thani and was wondering how painful the process of SF30 and TM7 and TM8 would be at the new immigration office. The service has never been an issue at Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration), but happy to hear good service in Udorn.
  5. Soi 68 has a shop that caters to the Italian bikes, maybe that is the one you referred to, but other than that there is the "Big Bike" shop toward Makro on opposite side of the street on Phetchkasem RD, sorry not a bike owner anymore so can't really help.
  6. As much as I love the little town and surrounding area, the smog at this time of year will kill you.
  7. Hua Hin Red Cross still offers vaccinations for free no matter Thai or Falang. Do you have a Red Cross nearby?
  8. Attached is the BBL notice about cessation of service, note it was a requirement mandated by the U.S. Govt BBL 2019 ACH notice.pdf
  9. will bet this transfer did not work, as many have replied, only business IACHT are allowed. A standard ACH transfer from your bank to BBL is no longer allowed since 2019..... PERIOD!
  10. Obama administration that passed the anti terrorist banking law on transferring funds to a foreign bank via ACH in the USA system. So Bangkok Bank notified all of us of the termination dates for doing so back in 2019. As a retiree here in Thailand I have found the following: For small monthly transfers to use as subsistence, WISE (Formerly known as Transfer Wise) is not only the cheapest small amount option but also the fastest. (On a side note, if you have an account with Kashikorn your transfer will happen in seconds vs 1-3 days with Bangkok bank). For large transfers, I bought a Villa this past year, you are much better going with wire transfer from your USA bank. Make sure you have the bank send transfer in US dollars or you will lose lots in the horrible exchange rates they use. Wire transfer is fast, BOA only charged me $55 to send 100K+ and the exchange rate I got from SCB was outstanding. Note that wise has limits on amount transferred so will not be plausible on large amounts of money.
  11. You will get email reminder only if you do your 90 day report via the online system, therefore you will not receive an email remainder on your first 90 day report. I.e. you must be registered in the system and have performed last 90 day report via the online system.
  12. I am currently staying at a small resort in Kui Buri, 1 hour south of central Hua Hin. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and practically have the beach and resort to ourselves. I highly recommend (Dhevan Dara beach villa)
  13. I have never had success unfortunately HH to BK, no matter the day or hours I always seem to run into some traffic issue. However I have found that Sunday afternoons are very good for BK to HH, 2.5 - 3 hours and I don't drive like a madman. When I drive further north (Phitsanalook and up) I stay on 4 to circumvent BK, it's longer but easier on my mind and patience (I.e. no terrible 35/9 interchange.
  14. I use Wise for my monthly transfers, however I needed to transfer a large sum for a home purchase and Wise has limits on amounts and the fees are quite high on a large sum. I used Bank of America (United States) and did a wire transfer to SCB. The process took only 2 days, now then you have two options when performing the wire transfer. Option 1 is to have BOA perform the baht conversion prior to the wire transfer. This option is terrible as they will give a horrible exchange rate which will cost you lots of money. Option 2 is to have BOA to send the dollar amount and the wire fee was only $45. SCB called upon receipt and needed to know what the money was for (U.S. treasury law) and then the SCB bank employee told me the day's exchange rate that the money would be deposited at. It was the correct exchange rate for the day and there was no additional fees. So for large sums wire transfer is the most efficient means.
  15. You should be happy that the Embassy in the USA denied your visa. If they would have issued it would have been an O-A type which requires annual insurance. Get the Non-IMM type O issued here in country and you needn't provide proof of insurance on renewals.
  16. They have the original issued back in 2015 Visa transferred as well as my current extension to stay. That's what's nice about Hua Hin, no long queue I was seen by an officer on arrival.
  17. I just went through the process. You must follow the directions posted precisely. The ACS office have a checklist on the website that was very helpful. I received my new passport in approximately 21 days. The only hassle was going to a Thai bank to get a 100 baht check for the return postage. However I can see how many individuals might find the process too difficult for them to follow and therefore a service might be a good idea for the many computer illiterate types. Just had my Visa Non-O moved from old passport to new yesterday, the fee was 500 baht at the Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan) IMM office. You must bring copies of all the old Visa pages as well as copy of the new passport.
  18. I did my 90 day on line last week and there no longer is a request for your TM6 number. Took 3 days for approval receipt. My question about the TM6 is if it will still be required for Non-IMM O visa renewals. I just renewed mine in May which was just before the announcement of TM6 not required for tourists…. Note; Tourists not long term visa holders.
  19. Correct, they are indecent of each other, 90 days will be due 90 days after your report day and not tied to your extension. What she was trying to explain to you is that you can do your extension up to 45 days early than expiration. Also there is no sense waiting until near your extension is due as it will continue to be valid with the same expiration day (following year) from initial issue. The only reason it will be cut shorter is if you have an expiring passport. I just found this out (I also use HH IMM) as I renewed my Type O on 30 May, normally my EXP is 15 June, but since my passport expires on 9 June next year the officer only gave through 8 June of 2023. By the way to transfer your visa to new passport is a simple form and 500 baht fee.
  20. You are absolutely correct, better to get the non-O issued in Thailand
  21. I have 2, one model is USB C and works with the BOA website on my Apple iPad and my 2018 MacMini. The other model I purchased is USB A to work with legacy devices. Both of mine were purchased on EBAY by a company MFG FEITIAN. They were relatively inexpensive. The BOA website will allow you to register two devices.
  22. Back when I was trying out all the services there was an issue I noted with YoutubeTV that required you to login from your registered address every so often in order to continue to use the service. So I never tried it as I deemed it not usable here in Thailand. I ran into an issue with Hulu Live TV that only allows your location to change 4 times then they lock you out. That is why I prefer Sling and Fubo over the other services. Fubo gives you 250 hours of DVR and also my regional sports channels which they automatically record all the games for me; baseball, basketball and football.
