  1. As of today it appears that the Bivalent vaccine is in short supply here in Thailand. Hua Hin hospital (Prachuap Khiri Khan) has reported only 150 doses available of the Moderna version and that they have decided that the vaccine will be only for Thai..... Thank god when I saw that the Bivalent version was available (Both Pfizer and Moderna) back in April I went next day and got the Pfizer free of charge. I suggest you follow the local Facebook sites which they use to advertise availability.
  2. USA embassy provided a document for me November 2022 when I went through the process didn't have to request it, it was included with return of old and new passport.
  3. I just went through the process last November with my Non-O retirement. The US Embassy will take about three weeks to receive the new passport, I filled out the application online and mailed in the application and all the supporting documents including receipt of payment that you make at the US Government web site. They have a nice checklist you need to follow so as to insure you won't miss something and cause a delay or have the package returned. You will also need to visit a Thai bank and get a check for 100 baht to cover return postage for your old and new passports. Overall the service was very easy and I never had to go to BKK and visit the embassy. Upon receipt of the new passport you will need copies of all relevant stamps from the old passport and a copy of the new passport to take to immigration, there is a form titled "Transfer Stamp to new passport" that you will use (it doesn't have the typical TM form number) and a fee of 500 baht for IO. It was painless, I did it myself at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration office at Hua Hin. I have no idea about if your company can do it for you, I always handle all my immigration requirements myself.
  4. Actually there is no limit on your transfers, bye default BKL sets the limit to 50K, however you can go into the website or APP and increase the amount to handle your needs. I.e. I recently bought a home and had the same situation A friend told me to increase my XFER amounts in the APP, then I had no issues at all.
  5. Nobody asked the simple question, did your agent collect the 5700 baht fee for TM7 at 1900 baht + another 3800 baht for the multiple entry exit extension TM8? Or just the 1900 baht extension fee. As others mentioned if 1900 (TM7) baht extension just exit country without entry permit to cancel visa. If you have the multiple entry permit (TM8) I would suggest either asking the IO at your departure to cancel your Multi permit or go to an IMM office and have them down grade it for you.
  6. my simple take on your issue is to come in on a tourist 30 day, extend it for another 30 days, then you have the grace period of 7 days in both instances, ie. apply for 30 day extension 1 at say 34 days then get your extension. show up at airport for departure and there should be no issue.
  7. YES it is the latest BIVALENT available the Pfizer or Moderna versions here is a photo I took at San Paolo:
  8. In Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan) it has been offered free to all (Thai and Farang), received mine last week at the San Paolo Hospital. There was absolutely no queue and the process was completed in 25 minutes. Also I had the choice of the Pfizer or Moderna Bivalent. Only needed passport and if you bring your immunization card they will add the vaccination to your card.
  9. I am in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province (Hua Hin) however I'm not sure if the online 90 day reports are done at BK or if they forward them to your local office? Anybody know how that is handled? But the strange thing about my situation this year is they extended the next due 90 day report past my visa extension date.
  10. That attempt that WISE stated will not arrive until the 8th was to be placed on the 1st (a holiday). I then attempted to model another transfer on the 3rd for the same amount and it went thru same day. Funny how they work, if you see along time for transfer try it again a different day. As another member mentioned, larger amounts take more time to BBL via WISE. Since I had to go to IMM yesterday I did the paper to open a new bank account and did so yesterday with Kashikorn. Transfers from WISE to KBank are instantaneous as I believe WISE keeps their funds in KBank.
  11. Is your visa extension date expiry within the new 90 day reporting extension? That was why my last 90 day report was denied. 90 day was due in April but since my Non Imm ext. was due in June they wouldn't approve it online. Funny thing is that when I went to an IO at a small satellite office they gave me the 90 day report for the entire 90 day period, next due in July so I don't understand why they bother to deny the online attempt. The IO even pointed out to me to make sure I was aware my Extension was due in June.
  12. As well for WISE transfers to Bangkok Bank, tried a transfer today and WISE stated it will take until the 8th to arrive.
  13. Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin) office allows 45 days prior to extension due date.
  14. Happened to me in Hua Hin Immigration last year on a 90 day report. My SF30 had been very old (many years) so the IMM officer asked for me to bring my condo blue book to process my new SF30 and then do my 90 day report without incident.
  15. Thanks, that is good news for me as I will be relocating from Hua Hin to Udon Thani and was wondering how painful the process of SF30 and TM7 and TM8 would be at the new immigration office. The service has never been an issue at Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration), but happy to hear good service in Udorn.
  16. Soi 68 has a shop that caters to the Italian bikes, maybe that is the one you referred to, but other than that there is the "Big Bike" shop toward Makro on opposite side of the street on Phetchkasem RD, sorry not a bike owner anymore so can't really help.
  17. As much as I love the little town and surrounding area, the smog at this time of year will kill you.
  18. Hua Hin Red Cross still offers vaccinations for free no matter Thai or Falang. Do you have a Red Cross nearby?
  19. Attached is the BBL notice about cessation of service, note it was a requirement mandated by the U.S. Govt BBL 2019 ACH notice.pdf
  20. will bet this transfer did not work, as many have replied, only business IACHT are allowed. A standard ACH transfer from your bank to BBL is no longer allowed since 2019..... PERIOD!
  21. Obama administration that passed the anti terrorist banking law on transferring funds to a foreign bank via ACH in the USA system. So Bangkok Bank notified all of us of the termination dates for doing so back in 2019. As a retiree here in Thailand I have found the following: For small monthly transfers to use as subsistence, WISE (Formerly known as Transfer Wise) is not only the cheapest small amount option but also the fastest. (On a side note, if you have an account with Kashikorn your transfer will happen in seconds vs 1-3 days with Bangkok bank). For large transfers, I bought a Villa this past year, you are much better going with wire transfer from your USA bank. Make sure you have the bank send transfer in US dollars or you will lose lots in the horrible exchange rates they use. Wire transfer is fast, BOA only charged me $55 to send 100K+ and the exchange rate I got from SCB was outstanding. Note that wise has limits on amount transferred so will not be plausible on large amounts of money.
  22. You will get email reminder only if you do your 90 day report via the online system, therefore you will not receive an email remainder on your first 90 day report. I.e. you must be registered in the system and have performed last 90 day report via the online system.
  23. I am currently staying at a small resort in Kui Buri, 1 hour south of central Hua Hin. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and practically have the beach and resort to ourselves. I highly recommend (Dhevan Dara beach villa)
  24. I have never had success unfortunately HH to BK, no matter the day or hours I always seem to run into some traffic issue. However I have found that Sunday afternoons are very good for BK to HH, 2.5 - 3 hours and I don't drive like a madman. When I drive further north (Phitsanalook and up) I stay on 4 to circumvent BK, it's longer but easier on my mind and patience (I.e. no terrible 35/9 interchange.
