What are the on about with possible social impact. If they are not drinking wine, then it's beer, whiskey, other alcohol.
As for lost taxes, what about all the tax from foreign sourced income they are on about. That doesn't help? To much alleged corruption to cover the difference?
Work on educating the youth, bringing investment and business to Thailand and you can collect your tax from those sources.

So the average low priced 5kg bag of Rice is about 140 baht.
At 6 baht a Kilogram that's a 466% price increase. 6 X 5 = 30, 140 / 30 = 4.66.
Sounds like typical Thai business practice, corruption and exploit the poor farmer.
I've seen Rice prices edge up in the grocery so the volume of new rice crops harvested must be above average

I would teach her to fish.
Look at possible business opportunities, her taking a loan out and building something from there.
I know it is a fake story. I always ask for ideas on earning additional income. When they don't want to work then run, run fast, run far. You will always be the ATM.

Enjoy the lovely accomodations. I hope your cell mates will give you a friendly welcome once word gets around what you did.

20 years so you couldn't have calmly inquired about the theft allegation and clear the matter up?
I understand it's not easy sometimes like herding cats getting everyone on the boat again but you choose how to
react angry or just laugh it off. We apologize for the many idiots you have to deal with trying to elevate their
social status for a video or picture.

Sorry Qatar, If they are coming out of the South Carolina plant you will probably be better off buying the Comac C919.
You know the saying if it's Boeing you are not going.
Hopefully Boeing will get the production, quality issues worked out but with the stories from employees that say
management is telling them to just push planes out and letting QA fall below specs is concerning.

I've been hearing about this scam back to the Posh Pete days.
Yeah, I've got the officers/officials paid off you will just walk right through.
Nice little holiday and some spending cash.
Sorry, I know it's a tough lesson to learn but anyone who is believing this needs help.

Strange question but anyone noticed that claw machines in Central, Terminal, etc being all off past week in Pattaya.
Is this a new law or did the operator just fold?

You want to crack down on it quit placing trees, electrical boxes, etc zig zag down the sidewalks. Yes signs, etc also. Hopefully the one photo I saw was accurate and they just warn once then seize whatever and put it in the bin.

"Although these efforts have not been widely publicized, he reassured the public that security measures are being implemented thoroughly."
I can only hope and pray at temple for this to be true. The headwinds could be from higher cost, less disposable income. Japan, Vietnam etc have been investing in growing tourists, only so many may be looking at Asia for their destination this year

Some of us are eager to pay our property taxes in Thailand. That statement has never been heard in the US.
I understand why someone in the US complains about inflation when property taxes, health insurance, college tuition, eating at restaurants, and many other things are expensive compared to other countries.

They just said they do nothing to the owners who are mostly foreigners. Instead they go after the easy prey, the renters who think they are staying there legally. Making their holidays miserable and problematic.
Perhaps, they should look into the rates and what the hotels offer for their small rooms. The condo supplies a kitchenette, usually a pool, hot water, living room, sofa and beds, even a washing machine for your clothes. A hotel offers only one room with a hot water boiler, a bathroom, a bed and TV. Many do not even have a balcony or pool. Yet the hotels charge more than the condos. Then if you are in a hotel you need to wash your clothes at a shop outside or use the hotels expensive service if you can get the clothes back in time before you leave. You need to go out for everything. Many hotels do not even supply a small refrigerator. Bathrooms are very small. The list goes on and on. The costs go higher and higher for basic needs you do not get in hotels but can prepare for having and using in a rented condo.
Of course the seasoned or regular traveller will choose the condo over the hotel. It makes sense in every aspect especially financially.
The Hotels have to be licensed, pay taxes, have technicians available 24/7, some pay franchise fees and have certain certifications also. Not every room is rented everyday so the price is actually the cost of the room, hotel expenses for an estimated average occupancy time frame.
Airbnb just has building maintenance expenses, annual property tax, and possible loan costs. Cleaning fees are additional but included in the hotel.
I liked Airbnb many years ago because the unit was in a building for residents and I want quiet and to relax when I go back to the room. Hotels people come and go at all hours, come back and make noise after drinking and don't care if you disturb the neighbors

Definitely one of punishments should be that they spend time in a morgue to see what possibly caused the patients early demise.
They want to block an ambulance but if he were inside that ambulance he would want people to clear the path.
Definitely think some of these people's brains are baked from being in the sun to long.

From what I've seen the Chinese mainly visit in tour groups, travel around to pre-arranged destinations, eat at buffet restaurants, not really causing any trouble, don't seem to buy much since it is probably cheaper for them to buy in China.
Am relieved that the 50 tour buses that use to parked throughout Phra Tamnak have dwindled with the reduction of Chinese Tourists.

If they can take the winter fuel allowance away from UK pensioners then there is no way they are going to give an increase to a pensioner living in Thailand.
There is a way around it though move back to UK get the increase then move back to Thailand or if you move to Philippines you would get the increase every year.
I agree it's not fair but its not going to change, a pensioner living in Thailand is very low down on the list of priorities. (They don't vote}
I'm not from UK but wouldn't you just get the increase for 1 year which internet says is 4.1%? The airline and cost of living in the UK would end up putting you even further in the negative.

Good someone caught them red-handed. No chance of denials. A shame there are not cameras mounted in every plane to show passengers. i do not understand why airlines do not take better actions to provide security on planes to prevent this type of action.
Who wants to sit cramped up for hours in a plane and be forced to watch their baggage compartment to make sure noone is attempting to steal their belongings.
It is not just that someone may or may not have stolen from you. They may have searched your stuff and seen you had nothing of value in your bags. Or bypassed your cheap backpack knowing. even if they opened it, nothing of value would be inside.
Then my plan worked. The appearance is of low value to deceive any potential thieves. My friends have had their gold necklace, gold bracelet liberated from them because they want to be flashy and try to impress others.
I don't blame the victims, it takes some next level stupid to try to steal from someone on a plane, with usually limited escape routes, cameras everywhere in airport, and adequate security.

Why this topic is coming up now?
Are there really hordes of Americans running away from POTUS now already?
No just running away from what they somehow classify as insurance which oddly enough includes a premium payment, deductible and co-pay.
Talking about Scams. So I pay, then for you to pay I have to pay a certain amount first, and then that is not enough we split the bill 60% you pay 40% I pay. Does that sound like something you would be interested in?
You are essentially self funded in the US since to afford a lower premium you have a high deductible.

Does anyone know if the Chonburi/Jomtien Immigration has the ability to make an appointment online?
I checked the Main Immigration website and it had every Division but what I believe is the Central Eastern Division
for online appointment application.
FYI, for a Extension of Stay based on Retirement.
Thanks.

So they have a parking problem in these key areas. Sounds like the need for either mass transit or more efficient use of Truck Taxis with parking lots in certain areas were people can park and ride the Taxi or Mass Transit to their destination.
The other problem with congestion is the ability of an Ambulance, Police, or Fire Truck to reach their destination in a reasonable time.

Chulalongkorn Physicians Support Disciplinary Action Against Doctors in Thaksin Case

So the alleged main guy will face little implications of his actions and the Doctors will be the fall guys? Got it.
