    Toppers!

Central was better quality, but more expensive. Bought a another one for the second bedroom from Big-C, really impressed with quality. My headache at the moment is trying to get the master bedroom one cleaned so have nicked the one from the second bedroom. I would suggest Big-C.

Bought mine from Central Festival and Big-C South Pats.
  5. Just 1 a day for me.
  6. Ah, the old 1970's Rock God therapy, replace smack for JD or smack for god.
  7. Walter / Wendy Carlos's tunes from Kubrick's 1971 A Clockwork Orange were considered Pop at that time, and haven't remained in the public consciousness, yet Great German Pop from the likes of Nena, Kraftwerk and Propaganda are still played on TV and radio today. In fact, all are still playing live today. Just compare the stats on YT. Comparing Elgar with 80's German Pop is Apples and Oranges. I like them all, in fact the Deutsche Grammophon recording of the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Herbert von Karajan of Elgar's Variations is one of the finest ever, and outways Sir Simon Rattle's more recent version. With von Karajan being Austrian and Rattle English, maybe the Germans are just super musical collaboraters?
  8. There's only one Superman, Captain James Tiberius Kirk.
  9. A 80's absolute classic from Düsseldorf. Sometimes a English classic sounds better in German...
  10. Speak with Nick at https://PattayaHomeImprovement.Com , fluent English. Installed some custom made blackout curtains in my lounge last month.
  11. To be fair, the 10 CD box set is Pete Townshend's final attempt to lay out what would have become "Lifehouse", his concept of a new Rock Opera to follow Tommy, where a sort of "nirvana" could be reached be instilling the personalities of a Who's concert audience into a "Universal Chord". He was forced to drop the concept after suffering a near fatal mental breakdown. In order to move on, Kit Lambert ( The Who's manager) involved Glyn Johns the record producer to salvage the various recordings and try and put together another double album. The result was "Who's Next", a single album that captured the essence of what Townshend was trying to achieve. While not a concept album per-se, you can begin to understand how 'Baba O'Riley' and 'Won't Get Fooled Again' would have fitted in to his science fiction inspired Rock Opera. I do agree Townshend is scraping the barrel on this one, as in 2000 he released "The Lifehouse Chronicles" a 6 CD collection of historical original material, or the single CD version called "Lifehouse Elements" for those that didn't have the stamina for the 6 CD version. On a different note, then expanded DVD's I do find interesting, as you can get a better understand of what the Director is achieving. Ridley Scott does this a lot to great effect. If you want to see a classic example of how a band develops a song, look at The Rolling Stones Sympathy for The Devil. The film is directed by Jean-Luc Godard in full politico mode who uses current / recent TV footage of the day (1968) intercut with the band evolving the track. I do prefer the reggae version.
  12. Eaten at Rick's Fish & Chips many a time, as well as his Café (infact sent the Thai fishcakes back as they were cold once). The only condiments required with Fish & traditional beef dripping cooked Chips are salt&vinger. However, Rick's home made Aioli is to die for. His mushy pees aren't bad either. The only accompaniment I have at his chippy is a Guinness to go with my battered oysters. Tommy sauce is for French fries, or colouring up a good Shepherds Pie. Just fancy some now. The F&C that is.
  13. Highly recommend QNAP TR-004. USB 3.2 connected, multiple RAID options, 4 bays, 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATAs, HDD or SSD.
  14. Make a hotel reservation up in CM and use the hotel's address. Use your name as C/O the hotel. Did that with my original 1 year Non O-A, then updated Immigration once I'd arrived and had a rental address.
  15. Thought that as they had the complete historic matches they would have this years pool matches on playback. But seams not, just the hi-lites. If you do have the time, then the complete matches are on https://rugby24.net for playback.
  16. I wonder if he has a cousin in Swiss-a-land?
  17. If you've got a VPN, then log into UK and access ITVX, as have sole UK rights to all matches. Make sure you clear your history / cache before accessing ITV, otherwise you'll get a 01-01 error ( not in the UK). France v New Zealand was typical Gallic flare, England v Argentina was a tour du force by the 14 man Red & Whites, Scotland played well but the Bomb Squad ensured South Africa dominated. Not seen the Welsh game yet, so will watch this evening. Last bottle of Brains of the occasion, just wish I had a Clark's pie to go with it.
  18. Had similar issue, pulled up Landlord as quoted this isn't a European kitchen, ie no S-Bend/P-Trap installed. Could hear neighbours plumbing, and smells Landlord agreed this was an admission (from 13 years ago!). Got his man to install a P-Trap, which was quite comical as he's never installed one before, bits everywhere, with a few left over, but working fine. More aesthetic than blue pipes. This might of use. Waterless-traps.pdf
  19. Sundown dazzling day Gold through my eyes But my eyes turned within Only see Starless and bible black.
  20. Deffo take the doors off first. Noticed the handy-men in my condo block this week refurbishing a door. Took it outside to the car park area, sanded by hand, layer of sealer then glued a layer of wood veneer. End result looked like a new door. All depends if you want the wood effect or not.
  21. Landlord having code to door is the same as your landlord holding a spare set of keys. This is normally documented in your rental contract, with a clause stipulating the Landlord has to give you notice before entering the property during the contract term. The electronic keycode door locks in my opinion are a gimmick, as to quote Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, "Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window". Try throwing the door when it won't let you in! I've had issues with corroded batteries (seaside condo) which rendered the door lock inoperable, consequently the landlord who was 350km away had to bike her override key over to me. Also with hotel systems that use a hidden WiFi to manage the date/time access, I've been locked out on various occasions due to WiFi issues. To reset the code, normally there are grub screws or Allen / Trox screws on the unit within the property. Depending on model, either disconnect the batteries or remove the coin sized battery and reconnect. Default keycodes are the ubiquitous 123456 / 000000. A few models allow for multiple keycodes or proximity cards, i.e. a unique code/card per person, which is rather pointless if there isn't a management interface to allow you to review access. Personal preferance is avoid them if you can.
  22. Had the same problem, so bought one of these. Created a schedule so living room cleaned first thing in the morning before I get up. Simples.
  23. An icon of 80's Australia, The Orchy bottle bong. 6" Of Garden Hose. Old can of Coke ( Other Aluminium cans will do) 1 x Orchy bottle, contents consumed. Water Mull. Pen knife Lighter. Use pen knife to make insertion in bottle 3/4 up to then insert your garden hose, angle down to touch the bottom. Use pen knife on old coke can to cut a 1.5" triangle shape. Fold triangle to make a cone, insert cone into exposed mouth of garden hose. Fill bottle 1/2 up with water. Pack a generous pinch of mull into the cone. Light and inhale... The bottle below is a museum piece from the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Sydney. If you're going up market and buying a glass bong, Top-Tip, use Sterident tablets to clean it. Same for cleaning Port / Ship decanters. Make sure they're the unflavoured ones.
  24. Next edition of Private Eye will be a good read.
