  1. Note to self. Make sure I go back to hospital before 10:00 "surprise" meeting on Friday.
  2. Yeah right, sure you're not gonna to use it on Brother Crow? It'll be the full Rubber Dingy Rapids if ya did.
  3. Agree, Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker was an audio masterpiece, captured exquisitely by Deutsche Grammophon, as this rendition of "An der schönen blauen Donau" written by Johann Strauss II in 1866 clearly shows.
  4. Have the App versions of The Daily Mail and The Sun, so I can still read Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Littlejohn and the odd Piers Morgan 'Arry bashing articles. Rest of the time to gloat how stupid the UK has become.
  5. Had similar issue last year. My branch in Central @ Pattaya. Card got eaten by ATM in Malaysia. Went to KBank in EmQuarter and got a new one. Happy to pay the annual renewal fee. Mind you had a big argument with them as they wouldn't allow me a copy (photocopy or self takened photo) of the documents I was being asked to sign. After 2 hours of escalation got through to an English speaking agent in their call centre who recognised how Western Banks operated and after signing an additional document was allowed to photo all the Thai documents I was being asked to sign. Don't read Thai, but at least I have copies of the 4 documents I had to sign. " You can not" was the common reply when initially trying.

  8. Hi @RuamRudy, had the honour of seeing Peter O'Toole in the role. In fact available on YT. 2 hours of absolute magic.
  9. According to the sign at The Coach and Horses, Jeffery Bernard is Unwell.
  10. Fully understand your problem, been looking for a Gillette G2 for a while. When ever I see multi-blade shavers always reminds me of the remake of The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin with Martin Clunes as the Project Executive in charge of disposable razers at GroomTech. Anyway, found these in my local Family Mart / Tops. Very similar to the old G2. Doesn't swivel and no gel strip.
  11. This was always a good Pogo workout...
  12. Met him mid 80's when he lived in a squat in The Elephant and Castle. Definately very mellow! Nudge Nudge wink wink, say no more.
  13. French, Brazilian or Hollywood?
  14. Does this match your requirements?
  15. Looks like those knifes get some use, judging by the scar.
  16. Is this applied the French Way, ie as a suppository?
  17. 2 most popular species in Thailand are the Blatella Germanica and Periplaneta Americana, and as their names translate, the smaller German Cockroach and the larger American Cockroach. Having lived in Singapore for years, The American Cockroach is quiet plevalant, due to the higher humidity. Can say I see about 1 a month in Jomtien, luckily upside down and dead. However one did land on me 3 days ago whilst having a late evening fag on the balcony. Put the boot in as can't stand them. The worst ones have got to be the big Australian ones up in North Queensland. The rainy season will force them up from the sewers (humid environment) , so more abundant around that time. Hence why they tend to appear in bathrooms, as it's wet, warm and humid. Don't like cool / cold environments, so keep the AirCon on.
  18. Have you tried: https://www.dulux.co.uk/en/colour-details
  19. Have you tried the Ducati factory in Rayong? Some what nearer if you just need a Diag check, plus might have transport. Worth a phone call Monday at least. Buona fortuna.
  20. Yes, US did produce some great telly in the 60's / 70's. Luckily with re-runs in the UK got to see a lot when Channel 4 first aired in the early 80's: The Munster's Addams Family Car 54 Get Smart The Beverly Hillbillies On BBC / ITV Star Trek M*A*S*H Bonanza Casey Jones Bewitched The Pink Panther Show The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The Twilight Zone Gerry Anderson (Joe 90, Fireball XL5, Thunderbird, Stringray) The Prisoner Dr. Who Danger Man Do Not Adjust Your Set And the UK kids stuff, Magpie, Blue Peter The Goodies Blake's 7 And sitting on the top step peering down to watch Monty Python's Flying Circus or TW3 (re-runs late '60s) after my bedtime. When working in AUS in the early '80s, then Hogan's Heroes The Paul Hogan Show Kingswood Country Bewitched I Dream of Jeanie To name but a few. We didn't have a telly till I was 11 (queue the Four Yorkshiremen sketch), so thank god for re-runs. Watched Best of Paul Hogan couple of months ago, still makes me laugh.
  21. Have flown short-haul a few times, BKK-SIN and BKK-HKG and found the experience pleasant. Pods are spacious, dedicated 240V UK style electrical socket, so able to keep laptop powered all flight and work and provide my own movie / TV entertainment. I'm 1.9m so sufficient legroom to stretch out / lie down. Pods are off-set, so if lying down you don't crush the person behind, saves on the mid-air agro, hence fewer window seats, so book early. Can't comment on food, as never eat airline food unless sealed, so the bread rolls, bottled water and Laurent-Perrier are all highly recommend. Customer experience is excellent as always addressed by your name. Would consider long-haul, ie BKK-LHR or CDG but my Scottish genes make me fly sardine class but book the aisle seat on the front row of any section for the legroom and cost saving. Bon voyage.
  22. Floppy Disc, you were lucky. We had to key in the instructions on toggle switches.
