Will be back in AUS next month. Can't wait, followed by a Cherry Ripe. -

I thought you were German. That's a Schokokuss, which is Danish. If you want a proper Chocolate Tea Cake, then none finer than a Tunnocks. Made by Sir Boyd Tunnock since 1956, a Scottish shortbread base, a filling of Italian meringue and coated in a thin layer of chocolate. -
Anyone use a cordless hedge trimmer?
RayWright replied to giddyup's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Use to have the 18V interchangeable batteries hedge strimmer in the UK. Easy 1.5 hours plus usage. You can't fault German engineering, as they say, Vorsprung durch Teknik, Progress through Technology. -

Proper Fish and Chips, with the chips cooked in beef dripping. -
Perhaps The Red Sea issues and dried up Panama Canal are taking their toll on inter APAC shipping as well?

Have you looked at Guitar Room, K Village on Soi 26 Bangkok. They have Martin and Taylor. If you fancy a wee trip, then The Guitar Store in KL, Maton, Gibson, Fender, Lakewood and Cort amongst others. For Pats, I agree options are limited.

A new freeze in transatlantic relations....

It's because it's still at the bottom of Boston Harbour ( or Harbor if you're American). -

Tregothnan Earl Grey with a slicette of lemon. Being a heathen, in a mug. For those not familiar with Tregothan, it's Cornish, as in the tea bushes are actually grown in Cornwall, England. Admittedly it is blended with some Assam and Darjeeling due to volume constraints. Unlike a famous northern county that just grounds the leaves, wacks them in small porous sealed bags and pretends it's home grown. -
Miss the Nearns Ginger Oaties. Also since the Tesco 'management' influence has gone, the store layout has become a game of hide & seek.

Bear in mind there are different strengths between the two hypertension medications, also their activity times differ. Also, if your taking a 2nd or 3rd tablet as part of a prescribed cocktail then further considerations need to be taken before switching.

The last time the UK had a national salesman, aka Chairman of UK Plc, it was His Buffoon Highness the Duke of York. Could be worst.

Not true. The Brothers Gibb were born on The Isle of Mann, so technically they're Manx not British. Their initial success as The Bee Gees was in Australia (Spicks and Specks in 1966), when they use to live as a family in Moreton Bay. They moved to the UK in 67 and 10 years later when mega when Saturday Night Fever was released in 67.

As @Havefunme says, go to Fortune Town, top 2 floors you'll find them. Bought a 2nd hand Dell i5 last year, still going strong.

Storm warnings for southern provinces as Thailand braces for cold snap

Looks like the inaugural Cloud Seeding by the Royal Thai Airforce on controlling PM2.5 might have been somewhat over enthusiastic! -
Risk of bursting washing machine water hose?

As @ricklev has pointed out, you can get an alarm, however down to cost as to it's alerting properties. Found iSocket last year, a Finnish company, with international sales and support. Uses a multi carrier data Sim in the wall socket device (with built in battery backup) as opposed to WiFi, so more reliable. Basic module provides power loss alerting, but additional modules can be connected and cover temperature, fire / smoke, intruder and water leak. See https://isocket.eu Bought mine to cover power loss ( to UPS) and Smoke/Heat as I don't trust the fire alarm in the Condo, as never seen it maintained. If you've got the budget, and love IT Techy toys, then look at USA company https://AvTech.Com , better still link it with Paessler PRTG (German) for an all round environmental monitoring and alerting system. -
Thai air force to battle surging fine dust pollution crisis

Obviously not trying to alert those in Pattaya, in case the tourists go elsewhere, but currently 127, and yesterday morning peeked at 156. -
Back in '84 was working for a media entity and was tasked to get ready the Laptops that were going to be given to the various hacks who were going over to cover the Los Angeles Olympics. Seem to recall they were Texas Instruments TIPPC with Wordstar. Articles were to be written in the field then transmitted via a modem back to London. The rubber handset coupler onto a telephone method. In order to test the modems, use to hack into the JANET network, back in the days before the InterWeb. Cutting a long story short, didn't take much to find the JCL front loaders to the Cray at UCL for both Cambridge and UCL. So after a typical Friday 1980's lunch, say 3 hours, loaded a programme to calculate Pi, then did a runner. Checked on Monday and it wasn't running, couldn't find the log files as to how many iterations it ran for, so some Computer Operator obviously shut it down as someone's timed batch job didn't run as expected. I think they've tidied up their security since then. Did meet Cray's UK Sales Manager at a party, early '90s and joked "Whats's your sales target for the year", "One" was the reply.

Wow, great story. Unfortunately when I use to bump into Peter on the bus, his hands weren't capable of playing guitar, so it was great news when he got back into playing. In terms of other Rock / Guitar gods, made the stupid mistake of turning down a ticket for Jeff Beck @ Ronnie Scott's, as that would have been up close and personal. Also missed Gary Moore, could have met him at Reading in '82, but was still working out in AUS, however did get to meet Tommy Emmanuel. Did get to meet Snowy White at Reading in '84, in fact as he came off stage, his normal guitar roadie wasn't about so he passed me his gold SG to take back to his backstage tent. Got to help clean it and restring it, bloody hell it was heavy, hence the sustain he gets, especially when he worked with David Gilmore in Floyd. Favorite '70s Guitar God is Steve Hackett, really nice bloke, met him when he snuck into a Kate Bush/ Peter Gabriel/Steve Harley benefit gig at Hammy Odean, was sitting a few seats away from me. Not so much a Guitar God, but totally influential to many was / still is Pete Cornish who was the go-to guy for guitar effects pedal boards, use to have a workshop at the top corner of Denmark Street / Shaftesbury Avenue, " Can't talk, got to get Brian's (May) board ready for the next tour". Also Andy Summers, Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett, Michael Rutherford, Macca, Dave Gilmore etc etc. Great guy. Take a look at his client list:- http://www.petecornish.co.uk/client.html

Do you know PreSonus StudioLive 31 Mixer Repair Service in Chiang Mai

Suggest speak with Beh Ngiep Seng Musical in Bangkok, as they are the only official Distributor in Thailand. -
Gaffa Tape, AKA cloth tape, got mine from HomePro next to Big-C on Pattaya Klang. Also seen it in Mr. DIY and Lotus. Used a roll once to fix a re-tread that had come off a truck wheel so could get home after a gig. Always keep a roll, along with a number of cable ties. Two of the most useful things in the world.
