Well just had the immigration detective at the house this morning and went through the usual palaver plus a couple of surprises. First one was when after taking his usual photos he asked the wife and me to change our clothes, when the wife asked why he said to take another set of photos so that he didn't have to come back in 3 months time, he said this was a new rule from Bangkok due to a substantial increase of fraudulent extensions based on marriage mainly from russian and chinese nationals. Second surprise was when the wife asked him if it was really necessary to do this every year his response was "Yes unless you have a child". This totally threw me especially when asked why he said he didn't know, just another Bangkok rule.

regarding annual marriage/retirement extension, 1. Does the TM7 form need to be filled in by hand or can you type in the answers and sign by hand? 2. Are copies of your last TM6 required? what if it shows old passport number?

From my experience Thai brains don't really develop until they get to around 40 years of age and even then they are only at a comparitive level of an average 15 year old western youth. But on a more serious note this is nothing new and has been happening for decades and it all stems from the desparate need for money to pay off debts or support family.

Well in that case may I suggest you change your lifestyle by doing zero exersise and eating as much unhealthy sweet food as possible until you develop type 1 diabetes....... then get your feet amputated. This will achieve three things; your edema will be gone, your diabetes won't affect your feet and you can stop worrying about the damn chair.
