  1. Have you ever thought that the common cold has not been cured or at least the public have not been told of a cure simply because it is the safest and most effective way to exercise the immune system without causing a dangerous pandemic? Asian influenza, Covid, and many other viruses in the same category are considered killers but the common cold is not, so research into it has probably been deemed unnecessary with the money being spent on more pressing viral problems
  2. You should read your own words, you write advising every one and then say you leave your passport in the safe? Have you any idea how much a passport is worth on the black market?
  3. I am sure that my reply makes more sense than your, at what point did I mention driving let alone driving at speed ! whilst one wonders at your ability to read and understand correctly you are correct on one point, it is in effect a international driving Permit however under the rules agreed across the world in 1949 it is commonly referred to a licence right or wrong so perhaps you are simply nit picking and must surely have something more constructive to do with your time,. at least one would hope so.
  4. Ah so the sound advice and the correct way to behave comes from a complete lack of knowledge about the Thai way in instances such as this? To the poster go with the advice about not paying on the spot, tell the cop you have to go the bank and request a ticket to be presented at the police station you may even find the price is dropped . Further whilst I have never been stopped I have been asked every time for my IDL and my DL from my own country which have been photocopied along with my PP when hiring a car in Thailand.
  5. We have certainly reached that point in the UK
  6. Correct me if I am wrong, but was the swastika along with the Eagle not the main emblems of the Third Reich? The Eagle was emblematic of the Roman Empire aspired to by the Third Reich and similarly the Swastika was adopted from a similar one used by Genghis Khan both of which were empires of their time and aspired to by Hitlers Third Reich ( empire)
  7. Given the level of history taught in Thai schools one wonders if they have ANY real idea of the true meaning of the swastika or indeed knowledge of the Third Reich and the death and destruction it caused.
  8. No greater love hath some than that for their helicopter
  9. Proves that these low life’s never learn. lead poison is the only real antidote and should be administered in double doses
  10. Just get a money trail and keep the receipts, then there can not be any awkward questions about source, and if you ever want to move it out of the country you can not be accused of earning it in country or laundering it. That what I would do anyway but it’s your choice
  11. Yes, when I got my extension in June this year a pink receipt was folded and stapled in my passport which worried me a little but did not touch it until I got home, then I took it out and saw it was a receipt for 1900baht for 30 days ( no mention or change from the 2000Baht I passed to the IO ) 555. I have since returned on the 45 day deal and no mention of the missing receipt
  12. I believe that happened when BMW sold the whole package to theChinese company but as I have not followed the finer details of the deal I would happily stand corrected
  13. The Brand is iconic but the company was bought by BMW and then sold on to a Chinese company and is no longer British. The only thing about the car that remains British by design is the brand name, other than that the car design is Chinese with some BMW influences
  14. Are you sure that you are not getting yourself mixed up with Coleman’s FRENCH mustard?
  15. That is one very big hole he will be digging if he gets caught out. just do everything you can do 100% legal then if you get some difficulties you can explore other avenues, but if you shoot yourself in the foot from the outset you will have nowhere to go. Try to find the mother, but if you fail get a good family brief for sound advice, if you know or have a pic of the mothers ID card and the area she lives in the cops will find her for the cost of a brown envelope just go see the chief dick in the station. Good luck hope you succeed
  16. I understand about the possible 15 days extra But, same as before when? Last time I visited which was last June I needed a Thailand pass and record of my vaccines but what now? By same as before do you mean 2019 pre Covid when one could simply fly in and get a VOE with the only hoop being a one night minimum hotel reservation, Or are there other hoops I need to know about before my arrival on October 12. Sorry if I am being a pain, I simply want to be sure I have all the info I need Thanks again for your input.
  17. Hi yes that was my understanding but I was looking for further clarity on exactly what are the requirements for entry. Thanks for your input
  18. Hello Joe, I will be coming to BKK on October 12 and was wondering just what are the requirements for a 45 day holiday now, I was under the impression that I just needed exit flight proof, Hotel booking 1 night, my passport and proof of vaccines. But is the talked about 45 day VOE real or not? many thanks for an update
  19. Yes I fear you are correct as sadly ignorance reins supreme in the monkery. It would only take one good honest high ranking monk to suggest that organ donation is good to preserve the life of others and I am sure 80% of the those who lose a loved one would agree to it. Maybe one day someone with influence will pop up. From what I have been led to believe there are some 72,000 people waiting for various life saving transplant interventions in Thailand and there could be a lot more unregistered, TIT and given the wholesale slaughter on the roads this could be dealt with in little more than 3 years ish.
  20. And me but why? The, but why of course is an answer less question, but thank you most sincerely for kind help and information, I will ask my friend if she has the UHC card and also point her in the direction of the Red Cross. Thank you again
  21. Would this service be available to Thais who need kidney transplants? I ask because I have a friend who is on dialysis every two days and a transplant is the only way to lengthen her life span, but who’s doctor does not appear to be interested in progressing her situation. She has now been waiting 12 years and with thousands sadly dying in road accidents every year, their appears from her stand point to be little or no excuse for this. Any information on a possible way forward would be appreciated.
  22. Did you ACTUALLY read his post especially about what he pays them and provides for them daily?? This to the poster, Sir you can not buy loyalty as you have found, so really in my estimation you are paying too much and the provisions you make for them will not make them show respect for you in the slightest, the Thai’s have no understanding of all that you do, and that is why the hi so’s and super rich only pay what is the going rate. Your generosity to your staff will not be considered by them and you will not gain any empathy with them, the thoughts in the back of their heads is that you are a buffalo and that is why they walk away from the employment you provide. My advice is to rewrite your contract of employment with clear and concise details in Thai pointing out that if they remove themselves from your employ without giving adequate reason and or notice they will not be paid any outstanding salary. From the moment they sign the agreement they are responsible for their actions and if they do not show up or simply leave, you send a copy of that agreement with the particular paragraph hi lighted to their telephone so there is no way back for them. You may still experience a high staff turn over but at least you may retain them for a notice period, however you must watch the closely should they be predisposed to cause damage or insult your customers during the notice period In the interim pay close attention to your current staff and if you notice a slowing down of the efficiency of any one of them that is when you sit them down with a friendly Thai person NOT yourself or any one related to you who you can trust and let him/her find out what is going on in their psyche causing them to leave, you can then take steps to correct the issues. Trusting that you read this, I hope it is helpful to you
  23. I feel that you are absolutely correct because they are told almost daily by monks who are even thicker than them that if they die they will be reborn again as soon as the next day especially if someone in the family is about to drop a new born. Why do they believe such junk, where is the proof ? Every religion is waiting for the resurrection and has been for 2,000 years plus and still none of them has shown up nor ever will, Dead is Dead there is no way back ever So the combination of an extremely low standard of education, absolutely no common sense and a complete belief in the junk spewed out to them by a bunch clowns with an even lower IQ than the believers results in the carnage experienced daily. RIP to the youngster you are just another statistic now virtually placed there by an elite who could not care less and a laughable police force who itself never appears to drive within the law, how many times have we all seen one in full uniform driving the wrong way on the wrong side of the road.
