Earlier this year I bought an inland flight ticket BKK to KK through Booking .com, the ticket was issued with my name in reverse order and Thai airways did not want to let me board because of it, however after some considerable arguing with them I got on the plane but discovered after arriving that my miles had not been added so I had to send an email explaining the situation with pics of my ticket, boarding card and my passport and demand that they, Thaiairways fix the discrepancy with immediate effect as I was the innocent party in this matter. They did so but I felt it was with reluctance, and I am sure that the poster may well experience difficulties and will be forced to carry his passport to resolve the issue.

That may be the case but one should remember that most Thais with a village background live in substandard accommodation with little or no movement towards the 21st century living standards so on that premise where is the hardship of time in prison unless of course you are concerned that the offender may get kicked around for his crimes by other offenders who have forgotten that they were also offenders.
