  1. Depends where they're from. Sexy photo shoots are very popular in Peoples' Park in Guangzhou.
  2. Is that still true anymore? The US is no longer the 'west'. Trump can only bully his alleged allies so much, sanctions are losing their effectiveness. Even his European vassals are beginning to show signs of independence. The US only accounts for about 14% of Chinese exports, and that number is quickly dropping. Can the Chinese shift their exports? I suppose Russia would like to buy combat drones and military equipment. Iran might like to buy a whole fleet of civilian airliners, stealth aircraft, and perhaps a couple nukular subs, which would give them a legitimate use for their 60%-enriched iranium. North Korea could use a couple thousand spy balloons to drop poop on Seoul, for which they could trade mail-order brides. All of Africa needs more investment, more railroads, more highways, more hospitals, more industrial parks providing employment and wages with which to purchase Chinese products. A nice change from military bases droning wedding parties and regime-changing stable governments. Maybe they'll go ahead and build that alternative to the Panama Canal, and do it with permission of the locals this time.
  3. Sure, it could be 44DDD chest, but then again some important people in the swamp could have picked up the phone and told him to walk it back a bit. Or with the market meltdown accelerating, someone might have read about how they had used the wrong values when computing their "reciprocal" taxes on the American consumer. The correct values were plugged in, and suddenly the tariffs are set to where they should have been in the first place. "I meant to do that."
  4. China may let him spin it as a win. People that know, know. Sorta like how Kruschev let Kennedy claim victory in '61. Or they might take offense at 125% tariffs and spank him again. Maybe cut off his "raw" earths for national security reasons, or start shipping combat drones to Russia.
  5. In that case, why bother with money. All citizens of Trumperville shall be issued a minimum quantity of Trump-bits monthly on their winner-card that they can spend on Trump-rations in the Trump-commissary.
  6. Exactly. Trump's grand plan is to onshore all those low-paying factory assembly jobs to 'merka, pumping out products 'merkan slave labor can't afford, and that foreign countries won't buy because of the 300% tariffs. Either that, or everybody gonna become an innertubes influencer or OnlyFans model.
  7. And what are Americans doing when most of the jobs can be filled by robots? Or until then, who's buying those $2000 iPhones and $500 sneakers when 'merkan labor is making $20/hour?
  8. When the robots are doing all the factory jobs, and all the maintenance jobs, and all the ciphering jobs, then it'll be the robots e buying the chrome polish and La-Z-bot recliners. Americans will be able to shop at Goodwill with their monthly universal basic income.
  9. Bizarro world - where trade wars are good, and easy to win!
  10. You talking about the 9-year old Cambodian orphans whose parents were blown up by unexploded ordinance we dropped during yet another illegal war?
  11. Ah, we'll be fine. Don't worry about it. "We can do it!" New factories will be poppin' up like toadstools after a rain.....
  12. Well, yeah, I listened to myself. Did you listen to myself? Now that Ukraine is winning and Russia is being pushed back, Putin is sorely in need of more drones and tanks and military gear, especially body bags. And I'm sure the Iraniums would like some civilian airliners and some 6th generation jet fighters and more nukular tech. That doesn't even get to all the other BRICS members and non-aligned nations that have been hit by "reciprocal" tariffs. Other nations, even the vassal Europeans, will be less and less likely to submit to American demands to enforce unilateral sanctions.
  13. Correct, unless you track the components of a Ford as it crosses the US/Canada-US/Mexico border dozens of times. Much of this isn't Chinese manufactured goods, but assembled/relabeled product from other countries.
  14. Exports to US account for <3% of Chinese GDP. If they no longer need to worry about sanctions, they can more than make up for it by selling wunder waffles to Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Mexican cartels.
  15. Much of that was assembled in China from components manufactured by international (or even American) firms in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan Province. ~$1000 is attributed to China for each iPhone, but there may be $950 in components shipped into China.
  16. What's that work out to.........per capita.........when you're holding a $37 Trillion debt AND you just increased the pentagons allowance to $1 Trillion, despite announcing an 8% annual cut over the next 5 years, AND you just spent $500 Billion bombing the hoot out of the desert, AND you're about to start bombing Iran, and you're set to begin drone strikes on Mexico? Oh, the winning!
  17. Not a chance! Some stable genius said "trade wars are good, and easy to win!"
  18. Mostly peaceful but fiery burnings of live humans.
  19. Meanwhile, you can get Honghe 88's (similar taste to standard Marlboro) for about a buck a pack in the land of Mao.
  20. Old news. The stable genius raised tariffs to 104%. Oh, the winning!
  21. Defense? That's the ticket! Raise the 'defense' budget to $1 Trillion. Oh, and start a war with Iran and begin bombing Mexico. The winning never ends.
  22. You'll get another chance. You can always count on our president to pull the rug. That 4% up yuuugely went away bigly when the 104% tariff on China imports went into effect. Winning!
  23. According to couple of sources as of April 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, the United States has implemented additional tariffs on Chinese imports, increasing the total tariff rate to 104% for certain goods. Oh, the winning, so much winning. I'm tired of all the winning.
  24. Trump's ultimatum includes a clear timeline for action. The additional tariffs would take effect on April 9, 2025, if China does not withdraw its 34% tariff increase by April 8, 2025. China no blink. 104% tariffs take effect tomorrow. "Trade wars are fun and easy to win."
