I was cycling across southern China, out in the rice terraces, a family with a 4-yr old on a motorcycle ran into a ditch in front of me, low speed, nothing broken. Rooms in older buildings aren't always advertised by agents. Best option is to find a suitable area, locate an interesting building, go into the ground floor lobby and check the bulletin board for sales ads. 70 meter apartments won't be as common.
