  1. I have Office 2011 for Mac and I have to say that Outlook is pretty bad to use. It takes ages to load up even past the splash screen (I have 8GB RAM) and that then freezes my OS for a little bit also. I now just use the browser for my email unless anyone has any method to speed up Outlook again?

  2. I recently managed to watch a great Thai movie called 'The Moonhunter' which I thoroughly enjoyed. Another movie I recently watched was called 'The Overture'. Both movies were based on real life events and showed that Thai directors can sometimes make good films The King Naresuan series shows, to me at least, there are some Thai filmmakers who are serious about making real films and not the usual Thai ghost, horror, slapstick, love movie.

Another movie I enjoyed was '13 Beloved' as I thought it was actually an original idea. Apparently it was picked up for a Western remake but nothing has come of that yet. Another movie I enjoyed, it's name escapes me, but I remember it having a talking teddy bear that smoked (way before 'Ted' came along) and was unusual compared to the average Thai movie.

  3. The one on the right is the official one or it may be a cheap knock-off made to look like the original.

Using the memory card from the yellow packaging, boot up the PS2 with no disc, go to the main menu, can you access the memory card and see what is on it? Try formatting it and then seeing if a game can save to it. Do you get the same thing with both slots being used? If it is the same with both slots it may actually be a hardware issue with the PS2 itself. I also seem to remember the memory card slots on PS2 can be opened using your finger, try blowing any dust from inside using compressed air and also clean the contacts of the memory card itself.

  4. Hello.

I run daily and find that, on my right foot only, I get blisters if I run long distances. What can I get from a pharmacy to help them heal quicker or are they best left alone and untouched? Right now both mine burst and I drained them, cleaned them, kept them dry and now they are covered by a plaster.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Ian

  5. My first reaction is, you don’t know Thailand or your potential bride well enough to get married yet. Sounds like the beginning of another long tragic tale of misunderstandings and broken dreams.

Sadly, I thought the same thing also. Try to wait at least 1 - 2 years before getting married. If there is a rush then it may be that your girl's parents/in-laws are trying to milk you for as much as they can and as quickly as they can meaning that your marriage, and I hate to say this, will be lucky to last a year.

  6. It may be because Thai women who want to be classed as 'good' do not want to have sex too often for fear of being looked upon in the same way as bargirls (sounds stupid I know). Also, sex is not really a big thing to many women here. My ex told me the same thing, I wanted sex frequently, she did not, and she said that if we did it too frequently then it means it becomes less special if that makes sense. It may also be that the woman is also too tired/stressed to think about sex all that often also and so rushing her to have it more frequently will definitely not help things and, as ever, might bring in to play the 'you only want me for one thing' card.

If so, then, in her eyes, you will always be no better than a sex tourist (no matter how long you abstain to try to redeem yourself). If sex is really a big part of a relationship for you then consider moving on as most Thai women still see sex as taboo and dirty and so you may be in the same boat with the next woman you meet also. As you have read from others, sex in Thailand, unless with bargirls, is no way near as frequent as you are requiring or wish/hope it to be.

  7. That made me laugh, the machine is copied so cannot save games. That would be the best anti-piracy method ever.

Simply sounds like you got a cheap memory card that is not supported. Try going to another game store and purchasing an official memory card (yellow packaging) as the PS2 is notoriously picky for not accepting any other memory cards than official Sony ones.

Hope this helps, Burnout is great fun!

  8. Sounds like a Windows 7 installation made using VLite to save on space and remove 'unecessary features' especially if the method of choice to crack the activation was remove the WGA feature. The easiest thing to do is first of all check that the desktop wifi drivers are correctly installed and up to date and, if they are, obtain a decent Windows 7 installation DVD and reinstall everything using that. Buying a new PC with pirated software on it should always be reformatted first to remove whatever else nasty that came with the software.
