Try going to Fortune or Pantip if you do not like MBK. I am not sure of the price of the 360, maybe 7-8k? It should be modded and come with a selection of games (of your choice) for that price also.

When you say you want to connect the two together? Do you mean to play online? If so, the modded 360 (yours) would be unable to go online to play against your friend (unmodded Xbox) as Microsoft will ban modded consoles.

Apple could market dirt as the next big thing and people would go crazy for it. It is all about marketing. As an Apple fan I still understand that Apple should not be stifling competition and recently they seem to stale when it comes to true innovation compared to the likes of, ironically, Samsung, who release truly revolutionary products.

My ToT connection will drop occasionally also and disappear completely for a while and then come back. Luckily it is provided by my condo so I get them to get on ToT's back about it and they usually resolve it pretty swiftly.

I turn off my MBP when not in use. I hardly ever put it to sleep.

I am not sure where you can get games from but I know the original Xbox made it here as a student I used to teach has one with games and everything. For 1000 baht anyone coudl get it easily modified and just download and burn their own games. Try Pantip or Fortune. I loved my original Xbox.

I also thought it felt 'heavier' when I played around with one. Maybe because you equate a larger screen with a little more weight also. I am happy with my normal iPhone 4 as it is.

My understanding is that if you have an Apple ID you can sign up through iTunes on either a Mac or a PC.

You should only have one antivirus program and one anti-spyware program but most AV software is an all-in one now.

On my Macbook I use ClamAV.

I am sure most applications, after you mount the DMG image, always show an icon being dragged to the applications folder as the method of installation. That is always the method of installation I use any way.

I've been using "Talking Thai" for two years now. Without that I would have been lost. A bit pricey, but worth every single cent.

Apparently, word is, when Office 2013 is released then Office 2011 for Mac will recieve some sort of update to keep it in line.

You have two user names, a "long name" like your full name, and an "account name" which is the name of your home folder in /Users

If you want to just change the long name, I think its easy. Changing the short name isnt that bad either but it involves logging in as another admin user, changing the folder name, creating a new user etc.

How about this idea:

1 - Do a Time machine backup

2 - go to users in system settings, create a new user with the desired long / short name

3 - log in as the new user, use migration assistant to migrate all your data and settings from the time machine backup

4 - go to system settings and delete the old user

Easier than Apples steps above...

That is another way of doing it Nikster but, if the thread below is anything to go by, the OP is having Time Machine backup issues also

Studying that long for a degree that is supposedly of high value only to throw it away to teach English here for someone who supposedly 'loves' them is noble, but naieve.

If you are to go through with this I am sure that, for a while, everything will be fine, everyone will be happy (unless the husband somehow finds out), you struggle along to teach in whatever school you are at, but, as everyone else has said, your attention will start to wane and you will look for alternatives. Everyone has already said it but if this woman is willing to be with you whilst still married you cannot help but think that she would not hesitate to do the same to you also.

I came here when I was 21 also, to be with an older woman, taught English, just like you. And it was great for about a year and a half then I ended it and ended up with someone younger instead. I was with her for seven years, nearly at the marraige stage, but I ended that also because, yes, she was young, and very nice, but she was also immature, so now I am with someone older than me and I am happy and the story there is that I was in an unhappy relationship (with my ex) but did not know it until many years later.

Try to think about how life with this woman may be five years from now. Moving countries to be with someone is tough. If you can still see yourself being as happy and in love with her then as you are now then go for it. Otherwise, sadly, this may be short lived and will only end in tears.

Or, if you haven't done a lot on it yet, you can reformat the disc, reinstall the operating system, and create your own name where you want it.

Remember, though, that doing this erases anything and everything you've put on the computer since you began with that misnaming.

That is correct and is what I would most likely do if in the same situation.

This simply means you may not have permission to open the folder (no entry sign).

Use the 'Get Info' option on the folder and make sure full read/write permissions are set for all users on the system. and then choose 'Apply to enclosed items' and see if that helps.
