I caught something on the news this morning as I was driving to work, they interviewed a Chinese taxi driver who stated he was very worried about the CCP economy after the covid restrictions were lifted. He said he still had a mortgage to paid and a family to take care of and hasn't bought new clothes for himself in 3 years so he will once again be wearing the same clothes for the Lunar New Year. He mentioned that most people can't afford taxis these days and are taking public transportation or finding alternate ways to travel.
