I'm guilty as well. Love me some cajun anduoille ( pork or chicken), Italian hot sausage, chorizo, Polish, and of course German sausages. I don't eat them regularly but do enjoyed them on occasions.

Well since you're talking about limited time on earth, I chose not to worry or whine about unnecessary tests/ restrictions and dysfunctional apps set by this inept government. -

as mentioned before, unless you have family ties or business in Thailand, why would you travel there under these rules. not only that, most places aside from the major tourist areas ( even they have restrictions) are closed. if you're one of the lucky ones that can take off for a month or more, the possible quarantine and expenses involved are very costly for individuals and certainly for a family that has only 2 weeks to vacation.- 211 replies

I hope this is sarcasm. Viet Nam is the only country in SE Asia in the last 60 plus years with any real combat and war experience and it's not even close. Not only that, VN has taken great measures to upgrade her military esp. with the threat of China looming around the corner. We are talking about a country that is probably more war prepare than most nations around the world due to its past history. Currently, Vietnam’s active-duty military consists of a 412,000-member army, a 42,000-member navy, a 30,000-member air and air defense force, and a 40,000-member paramilitary border defense corps. Vietnam also had a 4-million to 5-million-member paramilitary reserve force, consisting of the People’s Self-Defense Force and the rural People’s Militia. FYI, it took VN just 2 weeks, 2 freaking weeks to overrun and completely take over Cambodia and ousted the Khmer Rouge in 1978. -

50,000-100,000 New COVID Cases Possible in April
BayArea replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
https://thediplomat.com/2022/02/ahead-of-vietnam-tourism-opening-daily-omicron-toll-nears-100000/ as I said before, Thailand could learn so much from VN on dealing with actual testing numbers, vaccinating their citizens, living with covid, and reopening the country without the fear and scaremongering. -

he can start by removing himself and his cohorts immediately from government posts. -
here in California, particularly the very sheepish Bay Area, masks are no longer required indoors (including gyms, malls, businesses). starting March 14, masks will no longer be mandated in schools from K-12. it has been a very long road, but the state did a very aggressive job of getting the vaccination rate up for most of the residents in the state. the Bay Area is close to 90% fully vaccinated with over 50% triple shot. positive cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are decreasing rapidly. Spring is near and it looks " normal" as it can be since 2019.
