Many places still expect TM30, i'm in and out the country a lot and never bother. It only becomes a problem if you need a cert or Res for something, normally a 2k fine for not informing them of returning to address. -

I never had this issue with any of the gated communtities i lived on, 3 in total over 12 years.

Just sent £30K from BKK bank to uk bank on Wednesday, no questions at all from BKK staff, plan to sent the same this week coming. I was told 2m and under is ok to send out on each transaction and there would be no questions asked.

How many gated communities have you visited? I've lived in several that were very well run and certainly not 'dumps', perhaps these ones are outwith your budget? If it's the Thai Thai style ones you're on about, then i agree, total s h i t boxes for sure.
