I got a multi non O based on marriage. I took with me a 3 month bank statement dated 2 days before the application, along with the other requirements. Nothing to show at the border, only consulate.

I can confirm, as others have, that you need to show proof of funds at Savankhet now, 400K. I was there last week.

I've seen some radical photo's on new shape fortuner, anyone know if and when it's coming here?

Dropped of all paperwork on Wednesday morning, i'd have a gues at about 30-40 people in line, not many farangs. Documents i submitted for 1 year non O based on marraige were: - Signed copy of wifes Tabian Baan - Signed copy of wifes ID card - Signed copy of wifes passport - Signed copy of my passport - Signed copy of Laos visa and entry stamp - Statement from bank showing funds ( dated from 2 days previously ) - Original marriage cert, which they barely glanced at - 2 passport photos - Completed application form I also had with me which they did not need: - Kor ror 2 - Photo copies of each page from bank book ( which someone mentioned they required ) It' a painless process, if you have the funds....worst part is the boredom in Savanakhet for 48 hours....

I was furious them (both policeman and driver) placing my family and I in such a precarious position. Taking your family on the roads here does that. You over analise things Dicky....

I have a £ account at BKK Bank, didn't need much to open it being an existing customer. Hardly ever use it, bit of a waste of time tbh.
