    Western countries i believe that the financial requirements are required during the visa process, not asked for at arrival airport where's there's no access to ATMs before immigration. Are you suggesting the rule to have 20K cash makes sense?

    I also like to do mine at the local immigration, is that ok with you? I have plenty of time and it only takes 20-30 mins.

    It thought with ASEAN it was easy for them to travel throughout the region. I've been to many SE Asian countries with my Thai wife - easy peasy.

    Apparently there's a new application form the visa, does anyone have a copy, having issues with their website. Also the form for entering Loas itself. Can you pay in thb or must be USD at border and embassy? Thx.
