Happens all the time I guess, this confusion between being a victim of either an assault or a severe accident.

For me, with 3 visa-exempt entries within 8 months of 2025, and with minimal time spent outside Thailand in between, the "early warning" was the immigration officer asking for proof of outward travel, which I had. This was the first time in over 100 entries over 45 years, that I had been asked for that. My subsequent, 2 trouble-free "no questions asked" entries have been facilitated by safe entry.

My understanding is when a US peace officer discharges his weapon, he has to turn it in and is removed from active duty while the incident is formally investigated. So far, I haven't seen anything about any similar "stand down" for these ICE shooters, although the first one, and his family, have been "disappeared" by the authorities. Meanwhile, there's something around $750 grand has already been donated to some sort of 'GoFundMe' that's been set up for his troubles. I'm not saying they don't have to adhere to the same rules of engagement as say, a Minneapolis cop has to, it's just that in the rush for Trump, Vance, Noem and now Hegseth to pass summary judgement within hours of these so-called "terrorists" being shot, it seems that for ICE, legal due process no longer exists. Not to mention the Feds denying the city or state investigation teams getting anywhere near the scenes of these crimes.

That shameful event, along with turning a blind eye to the rounding up of European Jews and sending them to concentration camps for almost eight years before joining the war in Europe, is what I referred to in another thread about America's enduring support for Netanyahu's murderous belligerence. It is America's guilty conscience.

What is the fundamental premise for the Second Amendment right to bear arms? Something about self defence, tyranny and militias springs to mind. I would be more interested in why it appears that about ten shots needed to be pumped into his already prone, wounded and possibly already lifeless body?
