  1. Rose's have stopped making their lime marmalade in the UK, and are making a rather less tart lemon-lime marmalade instead. I had to settle for ASDA lime marmalade in my recent food parcel. There's lime spread made by Doi Kham that's available from the OTOP shops and farm stores that's quite decent though but (as usual) a bit too sweet.
  2. I head my head kicked in and face slashed with a broken beer bottle by a gang of punks after I parked in the wrong place in Pattaya. But that was sometime back last century when the locals were all welcoming and friendly and there was no huge influx of dodgy or obnoxious farangs on easy visas, inciting the indolent locals into bloody violence.
  3. If you click on the link, your Thai immigration status is shared with the Thai revenue department.
  4. That didn't happen. Read the OP again.
  5. I gave up a +40/day habit over twenty years ago and I cannot stand the smell of second-hand cigarette smoke.
  6. To entertain any notion that this alleged epiphany of yours may be true is quite the funniest thing I have read on a Sunday. Quite possibly ever. Thanks! Oh my goodness, you're really on form in the funny as all <deleted> show today, aren't you? But humor aside, being a member of the "cause and effect" deniers club is never good look.
  7. Per the title of the OP, by using wireless printing. I use it for printing from my phone to my Canon printer in my shed. The document stays on my phone. No copies needed.
  8. I believe that probably covered the on-site triage and the ambulance costs. For everything else, there's GoFundMe.
  9. Being a passenger on a motorcycle taxi that was involved in a collision with another vehicle where the motorcycle driver was found to be intoxicated notwithstanding, insurance cover for being either the driver or passenger on a motorcycle in Thailand doesn't exist.
  10. An ex-girlfriend of mine could write words, in cursive script, in reverse using either her left or right hand.
  11. I have done the big note + small note cash payment method dozens of times in Big C, Makro, 7-eleven, car wash, the local market... many, many places. Despite this being a largely western habit, I have never yet had a confused cashier, or the handing back of the small note or any misunderstanding what I am trying to achieve by doing this. Therefore, based on the OP's recent experience at the gold club, I somehow feel that I have been cheated out of a life-enriching, Thai monetary transactional experience. Who should I complain to?
  12. There's no "court order". He has stated that he isn't involved and everyone, including the opposition, are rolling with it.
  13. Yes, jumping to conclusions based on misinformation or ignorance is sadly a growing trend these days.
  14. But it does appear he was at fault for the accident. Scott McDonald was responsible for his scooter accident on Koh Pha Ngan. This thread is about Andy Davis and his motorcycle accident on an island near Krabi.
  15. I guess you're also aware that a larger percentage of Thai taxi drivers never encounter a mythical, Thai-speaking farang with a Go Pro either.
  16. Andy Davis is a genuine nice guy who unfortunately lost a leg in a motorcycle accident in Thailand and needed financial assistance to be repatriated. On the other hand, @Chwooly is a just another misanthrope, living his empty and spite-filled life vicariously through the pages of an anonymous internet forum in a rather parochial Southeast Asian backwater.
  17. Plenty haters on here trying very very hard to find evidence that the lad was drunk. Since the most quoted news articles at the time of the accident never mention alcohol , the usual forum misanthropes say he must have been drunk. Anyway, he's back home and getting the best care the NHS can offer, due to the kindness of mostly strangers.
  18. My mate got a US Tello eSIM. All done online from Thailand. Uses the number mainly for 2FA stuff with banks and the like. He reckons it's as cheap as French fries.
  19. Thanks for the clarification and advice. I would prefer the 1-year, one-time payment option, but may go with something on auto-renew. It's for my TP-Link SIM router so not worried about any call services, just data. That Thai ID-only is a PITA as well. With the last couple of DTAC purchases, their SIM registration app kept failing, so I just dropped by the local DTAC store with my passport and was registered, activated and on my way in a couple of minutes. It looks like a very, very dynamic market, so appreciate your efforts on keeping on top of the changes.
  20. Yes, I know. She was a brilliant roadie, could drink most men under the table, and spoke four languages. She didn't suffer fools gladly either.
  21. GoMo/AIS? Are they unlimited like DTAC and few others used to be? Your earlier post said, Thanks in advance.
