  1. You need to look at the cashier before breaking a 1000 anywhere. Problem looking guys, no. Female students, yes. Learn to read people. It becomes second nature after awhile.
  2. I actually don't think waxing is for me, though I have never tried it. I want a very short stubble all over like I get with a clipper blade with no guard, not a squeaky bare skin. Go figure. There are also practical considerations. The body shave takes an hour or so about every 3 weeks. I can't take a whole day waxing, it would take too long and require a lot of effort. Having a waxed smooth skin does feel a bit too girly and feminine for me.
  3. I just don't like body hair. Not sure why. Never have, probably never will. I always feel renewed, clean and ready to go after a nice shave, so I shave it. It's all me, not about other people or sexual orientation. I do shave my balls and crack as well (by squatting over a mirror), trim eyelashes, but not eyebrows or hair, though I do keep my hair short and tidy as well. I trim my nose hair at least every couple days. I have a wahl trimmer, so it's not a blade, just a close trim. I do take care of myself well in other areas, so I think being shaven is just an offshoot of that. It's about being neat, tidy. However, I don't like seeing untuly hair on other people, would not say anything, it's just not something I want to look at. Do you shave your body hair, or just let it go?
  4. American. The French tend to be hairy to my recollection, or maybe that's only a certain european demographic. I know there are bohemian european types that go all naturel and don't wear deodorant and avoid anything with fragerances. The women don't shave either and have long under arm hair and what have you. Am I off base here? Do you like that sort of thing, or is it just me?
  5. I actually don't mind body weight on others much as long as they are clean and shaven. Is the hairy thing I don't like. Those really hairy guys with back hair, or really long arm and leg hair. Especially the guys that are overweight with the hairy thing going on as well. It looks so dirty to me, almost like a primate😅. I shave my body regularly, I can't see why guys can't shave once in awhile to keep themselves kept a bit better. Especially in a tropical humid climate you get all sweaty and have the body hair hanging all over.
  6. I'm sorry to the Op that I went off the rail here. I'm sensitive about people complaining about small things like this. Reminds me of family problems with a relative I have who loses the TV remote control all the time and makes a big deal over it. Sorry.
  7. Still cheaper at 61 then I just paid for my tooth. I think dental work is much more expensive then health insurance. I started noticing a lot of blokes in Pattaya missing teeth when I had some dental issues. Decided to goto a top dentist in Bangkok to get it taken care of. You needed to know that right? Brush your teeth. You don't want to end up an old guy in Pattaya with missing teeth and going to one of those cheap implant places and having it get infected because they don't know wtf they are doing.
  8. I think a lot of people here are a lot older where the premiums spike way up.
  9. Yep, It seems like you are fighting some great evil or injustice until you end up in close combat. Eventually, you realize the guy is just like you and what the hell are you doing there.
  10. I'm pretty sure the oath applies only after accepting the patient, or working on the patient. Refusing care, or just passing an injured person on the sidewalk, does not fall under the "do no harm" clause to my understanding.
  11. Well, thats pretty easy to solve. Look on the app and see what you ordered. It has the price and delivery date there. It's not rocket science, Einstein. Do you have a brain? You can't even get a delivery.
  12. It's unreasonable to have people fly in and get denied at the border and get stuck at the airport. They need to know if they can enter beforehand.
  13. Ok, it's just extending the OA each year over 2 years with additional requirements like the 800k, not technically getting the O.
  14. It just keeps causing more problems until it's fixed then. Word gets out and people start going to other countries where they are not stranded at the airport.
  15. That's if you switch while in country without leaving.
  16. I'm on an OA. To my understanding you need the insurance ongoing no matter what you do unless you exit the country and come in on an entirely new visa (the border bounce for the second year is not a new visa). I will probably just return to the Usa for another OA every 2 years and keep money in the Usa.
  17. No, he could be a tourist who comes every month. If he has the visa or regulation to enter, he should be admitted until the visa system is corrected and people are not waiting at the border.
  18. Op said KL police said don't leave the aitport. They must have put something weird in the passport or the immigration computer. He was not just free after leaving Thailand. The problem is following him around!
  19. No sign and let the process unfold by itself. Say as little as possible. If they stop you from entering get a ticket out. Try Cambodia or Vietnam and fly into Bangkok again. Flights are cheap.
  20. Did our ancestors need a toilet when they lived by the sea?
  21. 7 hrs is too short. Best you can probably do is a Star Alliance Airline aisle seat and overnight layover at an airport with a capsule hotel attached to the terminal. Now, I can get a full leg stretch with an aisle seat almost the full flight using the isle on these overnight flights. Just make sure the trolley's not coming.
  22. I don't usually see Europeans dumping on the sidewalk, unless it was some homeless person.
  23. What you really need as a retired person is a second citizenship. You should have been working on this years ago. It's never going to be stable as an expat without that second passport.
