Not personally. I used to live in an area where gay guys hung out with women. I always wondered how those guys attracted women, until I discovered they were gay. A lot of women like gay guys as friends because they are not on guard against the guy becoming sexual.

I actually lived near a place where these japanese guys would call freelancers. When they arrived they would need to wait out on the sidewalk before being let in. There's something that bothers me about the story. I don't want to blame the victim, but was there any forensic evidence when it happened in seawater? Or any other evidence? There are plenty of gay guys that like and hang out with women but are only sexually attracted to males. An example would be a gay guy that goes out drinking with female friends, does a bj in the john with a guy, then returns to the female group laughing and having a good time. It's common in los angeles where you will often see a guy with several females and wonder how he manages that. The answer is that he's gay and females are very comfortable around him for that reason. If you are able to befriend a gay guy in california it's basically a gold mine for a straight guy. You will have single attractive ladies all over every time you go out.

I'm guessing due to the extreme measures in wall construction you don't want to live around other people, and the noise is secondary. Maybe it's time to move out of the city. I'm that way also so. Most I can do usually is corner unit top floor and just live away from the one common wall as much as possible.

I never use guides. They turn the experience of a place into their experience of it, not yours. It's a manipulation of how you see new things. The only reason I would use them is it the trip was dangerous and they had special skills, like a mountain sherpa.

You're usually stuck somewhere for a year if you rent. The nicer places only accept long term leases. So, renting can get you out sooner, but it's not a perfect solution unless you like throwing away deposits.

He turned himself in the next day. That probably cut his sentence way down. Many other countries don't reduce the sentence for admitting guilt.

I don't like ground floor rooms. I worry too much about theft and don't like hiding my laptop each time I leave the unit. Spike strips on the balcony rail have worked great for me so far. Nobody gets anywhere near the edge, including pigeon's. I don't think anyone that has fallen had a spike strip there.
