People going "Bananas". Here is proof.

You're never too old for therapy. In fact, it's a great thing to do when you get older with more time and money. The clients Freud & Jung saw had much leisure time and money to explore what went on in their heads. -
It's not a cop. It's a regular citizen that does the busts.

I think you will end up using that budget to move AWAY from Pattaya, not TOWARDS it. The whole area is a Cheap Charlie. You're not going to need what Pattaya has to offer if you're NOT skint or cheap. You will be meeting people that are running out of money due to their vices and unhealthy lifestyle. Or, if they are not running out, you will hear about their problems with people that are. Might as well settle in a nice area like Koh Samui or many other choices. You don't need to be in a bar and hooker oriented city if you're living in a nice house. There will be plenty of opportunity to party with friends and meet girls in the better area. I can tell you from personal experience that if you rush into something here, like an annual lease, and change your mind, it's not pleasant sticking around where you DON'T belong. You end up wanting to not go out much and just sit at home.

Indian Tourist Falls to Death at Pattaya Condo

I'm sorry you fell. How anchored in are the beams? Do they go through the floor or only a couple inches into the concrete? If it's only a couple inches in and he bumped into it while drinking he could go off. Is it aluminum or steel? It's not something I would be comfortable leaning against with a beer. -
Not if you're used to living in a toilet.

Exactly, to buy low someone else needs to sell their shares low or there's no shares there to buy. I'm not sure if the advice is intentional or not. They could just be reflecting on their own situation and it got out to the wrong people. Many wealthy people don't or can't understand an average person who needs to pay bills. They actually have huge cash reserves, maybe from existing dividends from currently held long term positions, that they use to purchase more during market crashes. So it's not simply a "hold", it's buying more when people are selling. -
it's very common. Someone gets up an pretends to be accessing their bag up there and they are really reaching into your bag. you can't see what they are doing because they are standing there. they are not sure who's bag it is. they do it when people goto the lavatory and also during takeoff and landing when people are shuffling around. i have had people do this many times on airline flights where they just linger there acting like they are searching for something. i have gotten up and retrieved my bag out of there while they were still standing there several times which puts a fright into them but there's nothing that can be said. it's my bag.

The last few times I went downtown to eat in the soi buakao area I hated it. Could not wait to get out of there. It does have a lot of eateries thus why I went there. It's about the area, not how much money you have. You are still going to be partying in a grungy area with weak people even if you have a large bank account somewhere. Money is not going to fix that unless you like the area.

If you're happy dying then none of it matters I guess. Have fun!

Not as you get older. Everyone needs to use it eventually, unless you just die suddenly.

Being kind of hard on the guy... Some of it is finances, not stupidity. A lot of people can't afford the insurance so they just take the risk and figure they will never get the holiday otherwise. It's like anything else, money insulates you from all kinds of problems. As far as the begging, it's "up to you". The fund is there if you want to help out, it's not required. He probably should not be attacked for making the effort.

The single thing I remember from him is the "buy and never sell" philosophy. I don't think that works for anyone but the wealthy. Most people can't weather an extreme downturn. As the economy changes, they need to sell, not from "fear" but because of inflation or necessity. Sorry, Charlie, I differ, but I think your philosophy worked for people in your situation. The problem was you proclaimed it to the masses who did not have that cushion to just "buy & hold". -
That's what I was referring to earlier, although not at that particular facility. When I paid there were two nurses that immediately took the paid receipt and escorted me downstairs through a public lobby and the elevators to the pharmacy which was even more odd. I can't see them losing the personnel time just as a courtsey. That means they were doing it for everybody, although I did not notice while waiting for the appointment. But what really got me thinking was the giggles of the nurses in english about getting the receipt while going down. They gave away that it was watching me and an escort out. I think there's a lot of people that end up in Thailand for care and can't pay, especially in the tourist areas. They go in for care then just make an excuse or cause a scene before paying. I also had a procedure requiring multiple visits. After each visit I had to pay just for the procedures done that day, rather then paying upon completion at the end. People probably bail out mid treatment if they don't do it that way, maybe finishing the course of treatment somewhere else or what have you.

Sorry, You're correct. I can't delete the comment off as it locks in after about 15 minutes.

I don't think you can just walk out. I have been to dental centers and a hospital here and the cashier is right there before you get to the elevator and they are definately watching so you don't leave. I had a question at the cashier last time and staff immediately appeared behind me quicker then usual. I think they would call security if he just walked out.
