  1. "can i get a thai tax number without having a work permit?: I assume from this the OP has no Tax ID, let alone one prior to Pink ID.
  2. The 13 digit number on your Pink ID is your Tax number.
  3. Users that do not read the OP are lost anyway since they do not even know what is being discussed. Try it, it helps make sense out of comments.
  4. I have a similar situation with my grandson, father Thai (my son born to Thai mother and me, American father) and mother American. The grandson was granted Thai citizenship based on his father being Thai.
  5. If you have the required Egyptian Residence visa then application for a non-O based on Thai spouse. If you lack the Egyptian Residence Visa then just come Visa exempt and work through the Non-O when you get to Thailand.
  6. Thai justice, waiting for the guy to kill someone before any serious consequences.
  7. Yes, all persons entering Thailand must have a Thai Pass. Requirements are different from Non-Thai.
  8. It is a tax report form for next year, just ignore it unless you can complete it yourself to report next year. I always ignore it and go to the Revenue Office to do my report for refunding tax paid.
  9. Did u watch the video? It clearly shows the right front tyre blow out.
  10. Open a savings account at either of the banks u mentioned but no need for an ATM card if u have a smartphone and get the bank's mobile app. The app allows withdrawals from ATM using a function that reads a QR code. I gave up all my Debit/ATM cards long ago and use the mobile app with ease (saves 200 baht a years.) No other fees charged on my SCB, BBL, KBank, LH Bank and I get a monthly account statement from KBank.
  11. Actually lived in Issan many years, where I was tutored in Buddhism by a devote Abbot (50 years ago.) Much has changed since then.
  12. Thailand's Monastic society has lost its purpose and become nothing but a place for debtors, criminals and lowlifes to get free food and housing. As a Buddhist, I am appalled at the conduct.
  13. I have the BBL app on three phones and it work just fine on all.
  14. If that ID is pink you are not a citizen, just a registered foreigner.
  15. Even Thai citizens must follow the rules, Test & Go full compliance except insurance.
  16. Recently renewed my non-o retirement extension at CW using only my Yellow House book and Google map (other documents as normal.) When renewing based on marriage to a Thai had to have our house blue book (wife owns house.) Other offices may be different.
  17. I do stop for pedestrians in crosswalks but put on my emergency flasher to warn those behind me. This works about 20% of the time.
  18. 55555 what would make u say most visitors do not speak English. Even Thai government allows many documents to be submitted in English or Thai, but no other language.
  19. Another ineffective remedy for a serious problem. If Thai drivers ignore zebra crossings why would some painted lines change their driving habits. The total lack of law enforcement is the root of the problem since Thai drivers know they can drive as they please with no consequences. Even my daughter, a terrible driver, admits that Thailand needs better policing of traffic, especially motorcycles.
  20. Why would ones passport be inside CW Immigration and the person is outside? Over many years of different activities at CW I have always been given my passport back, even when needing to return for a stamp. Last visit in late December my passport was scanned on entry.
  21. Complain about Immigration doing their job seems a little out of line. Home checks are common in many countries including the USA as demonstrated by the visit my family got to check on my wife when we lived there. ROK immigration checked on me monthly. That is part of living in a foreign country.
  22. Not bought the Cross yet but just bought a Camry in December and it took three weeks to get it (includes dealer prep time.)
