800K combined in two Thai bank accounts
asiaexpat replied to ruddick's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have used two bank accounts to make the 800K for renewal of my extension. Just be sure to get a letter for each account from the bank. -
I applied when this account first came about and was told Thais only. Tried to do it for wife (Thai) and told to go into the bank where she open her account. Went there and she was refused the account because she has a USA green card. Gave up and returned to LH bank for 1.5% fixed account. May try agin since some foreigners seem to have had success.

Tax refund questions. Tax ID card.
asiaexpat replied to FunkOz's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
If you received a tax refund letter from the Revenue Office take it to Krung Thai bank and they will issue a money card that can be used at ATM to get the money. I have done this for many years with little trouble. -
There is parking just outside the entrance and on the backside of the building. Plenty of parking.

I tried to make an appointment but got a "waiting verification" notice so I just walked in and got the passport. Also my daughter did the same, just walked in with documents needed and got her's. -

Vaccination Passport

Got mine today at Bamrasnaradura, long drive but efficient service. -
From my experience my daughter has purchased 2 new cars in recent years and drove from Bangkok to Chon Buri daily with red plates. She had the book but never wrote in it ever. During the COVID checks the police just asked for drivers license and ignored the red plates and books. She drives the Expressway daily. I see little risk for the OP.

Blue book - Mflow - Passport numbers
asiaexpat replied to turgid's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Years ago I switched from Passport number to my Thai ID number from my Yellow House Book. Never worry again. -
From recent experience I suggest having several copies of ever document in hand.
