The OP asked for hotel recommendations in non sleazy areas. He didn’t ask for stupid ‘advice’ with regard to Google. Utterly useless and Troll like in my opinion. Do you imagine your ‘advice’ was ingenious and that he couldn’t possibly have thought to do that himself or in fact was your just a useless ‘baiting’ reply?

Riverside is best. Also the best way to see Bangkok. Lebua is a short walk from Centrepoint Silom, but it’s very expensive. Banyan Tree(Vertigo/Moon Bar) is less expensive.

Yeah… but this thread isn’t about you. Couple might prefer to not have to walk an extra ten minutes in the heat for no extra benefit. Adding insult to injury after being cooped up in a 21 sq.m. box.

Don’t be ridiculous. 21 sq.m. is tiny. For a couple, only really suitable for a place to sleep. Not really convenient. Would take twelve minutes to walk to the closest BTS, as opposed to perhaps three minutes from Centrepoint Silom.

My choice would be Centrepoint Silom via AGODA. 45 sq.m. with a river view. A couple of minutes walk to Saphan Taksin BTS and also Sathorn pier for the River taxis. Atop Robinson Bangrak department store and a TOPS supermarket and far away from any sleaze.

Perhaps okay for a single traveller. But at 21 sq. m., that would be a no thank you from me.

On the subject of ‘bar girls’; they are just part of life’s rich fabric. That part of which I prefer to not entangle myself.

What is the scenario described? Who described it? My scenario is that at fifteen I lived with the 25 year old, rent free and when it was obvious I wasn’t really in to her, she didn’t object to me inviting my girlfriend my own age, around. A three bedroom apartment, so not an issue. A few months later, the other girl came to collect me to live with her, but I already had a girlfriend by then. Didn’t stop her from buying me clothes and jewellery and even giving me money to take my girlfriend out at the weekend. Asked me what my girlfriend(18) had that she didn’t have. I was 16. She was perhaps 23, I don’t remember exactly now. It’s not as if she wasn’t attractive. Men would wolf-whistle her in the street and I often wondered why she picked me. But my girlfriend was just as nice and not a ‘Madame’. So I know how it is from many different angles.

That’s a bit disgusting. If you think being someone’s ‘whore’ or ‘toy boy’ is undesirable, then how could you in good conscience subject someone to that experience? You clearly haven’t got a clue anyway as to how it can be. Even though I’ve been the younger one or at least less financially stable in some of my relationships, I don’t have negative feelings of being used or treated in a negative manner. Plus of course they weren’t actually old in the first place. I was just young, at perhaps fifteen or sixteen, whilst having girlfriends in their mid twenties. I also had girlfriends closer to my age at the same time.

I did it… but I lived with her ☺️ I did try to talk her out of it, but at 15/16 or however old I was, I didn’t have an alternative to offer. Luxury apartments close to Selfridges didn’t come cheap.

They want quick results. Instant gratification.
