  1. Isn’t that what I just wrote? They do it because they can get a better quality of life. Who knows what they left. But the people already living there don’t have much chance of a better life, as the wages are inadequate, unless you want to live like an immigrant… Ridiculous having to toil for sixty hours a week just to survive. There’s nothing wrong with physical, sweaty labour, as long as you can have a good quality of life thereafter. But most people are working just to pay bills these days. Ridiculously high bills.
  2. I was just demonstrating that there are drops that can be used for both.
  3. NT Mobile is not the same thing as NT Wireless. The clue is in the name. One is for fixed point home Internet. It’s not for travelling around. That’s why the Thunder becomes the one that stays at home. As long as you have decent Band 40 reception at your location. One of your other mobile SIM can go into the MiFi. Mobile SIM can roam on to other bands, such as DTAC switching to LTE Band 28. The NT Wireless SIM will only work on Band 40.
  4. No. One way or another, you can set the band yourself. So don’t be concerned about having done something wrong. Your description makes it sound as if you can utilise 2x LTE Band 40(2CA). Fertile conditions for the Thunder SIM. Looking good… I would get on to them to confirm you are within coverage and/or simply order one via their Shopee site and get it registered. A one month SIM to test or just plump for the 12 month one if you are feeling lucky ????
  5. If you are going to use the laptop screen, then take note of the screen quality of your intended purchase. Personally I buy cheap business quality laptops as I don’t have a need for the latest bells and whistles. 4K can get what I need. Latitude 7480 good enough for my requirements. If you have specific requirements, e.g. video or photo editing then tailor your requirements. It’s not just about Windows. That just provides wide compatibility. You still need to consider the hardware. ‘Powerful’ is just one element.
  6. https://shopee.co.th/nt.official_shop You can order via Shopee after checking in with NT that you have coverage at your place.
  7. If you have version 2 of the MR-600, you should be able to lock-in Band 40 exclusively. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/241534 Try it with a DTAC SIM. NT Wireless and DTAC are sharing three blocks of 20 MHz @ Band 40. 60% for DTAC; 40% for NT, AFAIK. Maybe worth checking with NT Wireless with regard to availability. https://wcsoss.totwbs.com/promotion Call 1888 You get a 7 day 500MB trial if you follow their instructions. If not suitable, you get your money back. But first you have to check with them to see if the service is available at your place. This of course if you have not travelled this road before.

  9. Try another speed test; https://testmy.net/ Even a 30 Mbps connection should be enough. Maybe the 300 Mbps is just for domestic traffic. Use the speed test above and vary the test servers. https://testmy.net/mirror
  10. You were writing with regard to foreigners selling ice cream. Something that you have mysteriously forgotten to address in your reply here. Nasty…
  11. It is you who is making false statements. You cannot come up with a single exclusive package given to you at a shop. Not even one example. The manager cannot do everything a call centre can do. They can do different things. But for special packages, they have to defer to the call centres. If you want to travel to a store in order to get a manager to contact the call centre for you, that’s your prerogative. My statement was only to inform that only the call centres can offer special packages not in the public domain. The shops and service centres centres cannot. If you need to visit a shop in order for them to call a call centre for you, that says something about you.
  12. You are wrong. It doesn’t matter how many times you repeat your erroneous statement; it will still be wrong. I wrote that only the call centre can apply certain packages, NOT a shop or service centre. Shops and service centres only have access to certain USSD codes that are sent out to distributors . I know. Whereas you are just making something up and hoping that it is correct. If for instance, you had the experience of having an exclusive package applied whilst in store, you might have an argument. But you haven’t; you are simply asserting something about which you have no knowledge. I will reiterate; only the call centres can apply certain packages. For instance when a promo package expires after six months; a shop or service centre will only help you to apply a currently available package. Ones that you could apply for yourself. Call centre has other options. Some of us have packages that no one else has. You don’t. As to their expertise, there is good reason why people ask for advice here. Have you ever seen an unlimited 30 Mbps SIM package sold in an AIS store? They were available via independent distributors and not through AIS shops and service centres. Similarly with DTAC…. have you seen them advertising Unlimited 30 Mbps anywhere on their official website? But you can obtain it freely. Just not at a network outlet. So how would those ‘knowledgeable’ people in-store apply it for you? You should stop. Really.
  13. Who wants to work? ???? Such a ridiculous notion. You write as if we were all born worker bees and that we should devote our lives to making money for others. That’s the real problem. If we were working to build our communities and could see the result of our labour, there could evolve a real love of what you were doing. But mostly it’s just about money(which rapidly loses it’s value). Most people work because they HAVE to do so, in order to obtain money. Why would anyone choose to devote most of their lives to doing something they don’t really want to do?
  14. How do you know they have no permit and don’t form part of a licenced business? Nasty…
  15. Why would I need to have tried it in order to have linked to it?? I already knew someone who had tried it and was obtaining the speeds that you have been. But you are telling it as if you found it all by yourself and that no one else knew. That wasn’t true was it? You found it due to one of my posts. Be a man and tell the truth ????
  16. https://aseannow.com/profile/333949-shannoblic/ Once in, click on the ‘envelope’ icon to send a message(in the absence of any obvious way to send a message, as the web page can differ when using a PC or mobile phone).
  17. Only call centre can do that.
  18. https://asset.conrad.com/media10/add/160267/c1/-/en/000319134ML03/gebruiksaanwijzing-319134-zte-mf60-mifi-router.pdf Dependent on the package you choose at the end, it might be worth spending the 500 baht on an updated LTE capable mobile router. Some will even give access to Band 40 for you to be able to consider the NT Wireless Thunder SIM @ 999 baht for max speed and unlimited volume fixed point Internet. If you have good enough reception for that in your den, you can perhaps do a swap. Thunder SIM in the den and existing DTAC 30 Mbps in the mobile modem. Time to check for Band 40 reception utilising your MR600…
  19. AIS compatible with 2100 MHz. DTAC and Truemove H both 850 MHz & 2100 MHz. Lower frequency might offer better reception/penetration.
  20. It might be worth checking on coverage, as the modem might support more bands of another network, so might be better suited to that network. For instance, if it supports just one high frequency band of one network but both low and high frequency waveband of another, you might receive better coverage from the latter. At least a cursory speed check between AIS and DTAC using that particular modem.
  21. You can get rooms locally for less than that. ???? 1500 baht rooms aren’t in short supply and food can be relatively inexpensive. But he’ll still need to take care of his legal status. The alcoholism doesn’t sound good ☹️ Without that, he could perhaps survive on the proceeds of a whip round.
  22. https://www.ais.th/disney/en/ Their 4Mbps and 10Mbps packages might still be available @ 2139 baht and 3209 baht incl. respectively. The Hotspot clause is likely just there to discourage anyone from using it for commercial purpose.
