  1. To ‘fix’ the issue, you need to go into the router settings in order to set the AIS connection to just a single band. i.e. LTE Band 1 or Band 3 or…
  2. Haggling? The price is no more than 50 baht, unless you are going off the beaten track. You need to get on the bus that waits to fill up. Of course you pay more if you charter the whole taxi ???? You can pick up a 49 baht SIM at the airport. Ignore them when they suggest you have to top up with 300 baht or similar nonsense. Then when you find the time, you can try to get your number back(unlikely). With a new SIM you can get cheap unlimited data.
  3. Low end 4G routers to consider, include the D-Link DWR-M920 and the TP-Link TL-MR100 V2 The D-Link has more LAN interfaces.
  4. How about selecting the SIM firstly, as opposed to trying to jump ahead of yourself?
  5. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A71 has Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, A-GPS, and NFC. The phone has a Category 15 LTE modem with 3x carrier aggregation, and the global variant has the following LTE bands: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/20/28/38/40/41/66. https://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-a71-review This means that you’ll likely get higher speeds when using your phone, as opposed to a cheap router. Though not necessarily. First stop is to see how DTAC performs at your place. DTAC offers the highest capped speed plan at 30Mbps, so it makes sense to include them. Thunder is a good offer, but it’s 199 baht for a test SIM with a month duration.
  6. Go back to my very first post to you on this thread…
  7. Go to the mall with your passport or order a Truemove H and DTAC SIM online. Stick them in your phone and run speed tests. The one that shows the best performance is the one you should choose for a 12 month unlimited SIM. Of course if you cannot be bothered, then but whatever you want and wish yourself good luck. Third time in asking about your phone… I won’t ask again.
  8. You are making things up. No one has suggested that you test any routers. You just made that up. Don’t over-complicate. You need to test SIMs with your current phone(which you have also failed to name this far).
  9. You don’t need to…we already know you have a capped speed 4Mbps plan… You can add a ‘max speed pack’ *777*7541# giving you 150MB of data for 10.7 baht if you want to test for how much you can get on your current phone. Though not much point unless you are happy to have a 100GB per month limitation.
  10. 27Mbps on a 4Mbps connection ???? Impressive ☺️ Obviously not a reliable test for capped speed plans. Your choice for AIS is 15 Mbps with a 100 GB per month limitation. For Unlimited, you will have to test DTAC, Truemove H and/or NT Wireless(Thunder) at your location.
  11. 27Mbps on which AIS package? Use https://testmy.net/ rather than Speedtest..
  12. Clearly an issue for you with AIS mobile I don’t have any issues with using AIS mobile for Torrents, but then I use another method.
  13. All of this is a waste of time, until you actually test for speed from the available networks. Once you have found the best for your location, at that point you can select a modem. Anything else would be pure guesswork. You haven’t even posted results from your current SIM. So to save everyone else’s time, name your phone and run the tests.
  14. Likely inside the Tukcom building.
  15. Different transmitter, different cell tower different location, so why does that look high for max speed? Your assumption is that he meant the AIS max speed looks a little high because it appears to be 10-15Mbps above his max for DTAC?
  16. Perhaps you are just a victim of the ‘right wing’ Trolls and have unwillingly accepted the corrupted interpretation to mean anything about which you don’t agree. I write simply of the original definition. I guess Trump is referring to the idiots who use it to try to insult, rather than having a true understanding of it’s meaning. Woke has nothing to do with being left wing.
  17. Some weird thinking you have there. You must be really contorting..
  18. There is no new meaning. Just some Trolls have taken it upon themselves to corrupt it’s usage. It simply means to ‘be aware’; to be alert to what is occurring around you. Nothing to do with being left wing. It’s simply right wings Trolls who have attempted to co-opt it. Recognise yourself?
  19. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad…. He was not inferring that “it was high for max speed”. That is what you wrote. He obviously meant that Speedtest was reporting a 10 Mbps capped speed connection as a 55.2Mbps ‘max speed’ connection, when it so obviously is not. Everyone, apart from yourself seems to have understood that. No need to start arguing about why a 55.2Mbps measurement seems too high for a package capped at 10Mbps ????
  20. Pay attention perhaps? He clearly wrote that it is an AIS plan capped at 10Mbps. None of the things you mentioned would increase that to ‘max speed’.
  21. Actually you don’t. You can renew packages via the router interface by USSD code or by clicking through web interfaces. No need for the SIM to leave the router. Though as aforementioned, look out for carrier aggregation(CA) if you want or need the highest speed of throughput. Often expressed by using Cat.4(no carrier aggregation), Cat.6(2CA; possibility of 2 bands being linked together). Cat. 12(3CA; possibility of 3 bands being linked together) etc Not all cheap smartphones are capable of carrier aggregation, so watch out for that too.
  22. Seems the ‘famous’ one is ‘having kittens’ himself now… Met the kid at 15… It doesn’t look good for him.
  23. From a 6 Mbps package?
