Any recommendations for a shop to replace the body of a laptop?
dhupverg replied to dhupverg's topic in IT and Computers
Thanks for the ideas/suggestions. I am in Phuket if someone happens to know of something besides the basement of big C. -
I have a laptop where the body/frame is starting to fall apart. It is literally being held together by tape and clips. I was just in the US and a shop said they could replace the whole thing, but I didn't have the time. It is a 17 inch hp powerhouse with 32 gbs of ram, 1gb ssd and 3 gb of HDD. I already bought a cheap new laptop, but I would like to keep this high end spec laptop with a new body. Does anyone have a recommendation for doing this?

Tire manufacturers love EV's. The price of the tires are more to handle the weight, and the tires wear out faster. This is an interesting video from CNBC.

When it comes time to replace the batteries, what's the cost? When it's time to sell, how much are people willing to pay for a used EV? I've seen a number of news reports about buying batteries costing quite a bit of money, as well as resale markets for EV's basically in the crapper. Parts, how much are spare parts and panels? I've seen some outrageous prices on fixing vehicles after an accident. Interesting that one of the big car rental companies in the US went all in on EV's for rental cars, and the public aren't wanting them. Now said company has a lot of unused inventory that they are taking a huge loss on.

Supreme Court says Texas can arrest and jail migrants

Seeing as they are being paid to look the other way, help in getting water and supplies, cutting fences etc. more funding would mean more of the same. Or, would they all of a sudden do their job if they receive more funding? ( I've got a bridge to sell you if you believe this!) -
Flights To US Seat selection

Qatar also let's you select seats, but as mentioned above, unless you have standing with the airline or their alliance, expect to pay more for seats towards the front and the extra legroom seats. -
I'd love to see the tax records of those like Scott Gottlieb, who move back and forth from public service, to sitting on the board of big pharma companies. There's a number of these types of grifters pulling in millions sitting on boards to convince their pals in gov't jobs to help them out, with a promise of a lucrative consulting or board position after gov't work.

Will we ever rid ourselves of The Big C., Cancer?
dhupverg replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Look into this book and watch some videos on youtube. There's a lot of people that have followed this course and ended up from stage 4 to no cancer. It is a much different approach then chemicals and radation. It has to do with metabolic health and starving the cancer. https://www.amazon.com/Cancer-Metabolic-Disease-Management-Prevention/dp/0470584920 Here's a long indepth video with those who were on the protocol, along with stories of others who followed the protocol. -

It’s the latest sign of the virus’s normalization four years after it upended our lives. You should now follow the same precautions with Covid as you take with the flu, according to new guidelines from the CDC."

Phuket’s traffic crisis: over 500,000 vehicles clog the island’s roads
dhupverg replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Here's a few starter solutions. Take out the lights from the airport to the bypass road. All those lights are ridiculous. There should be overpasses, not lights. Set up a good public transport service. 30 years and counting........ Ban Russians from renting cars. A toll road would be useful, but probably not profitable. -
Hunter Biden’s Lawyers Say Feds Mistook ‘Lines of Sawdust’ for Cocaine
dhupverg replied to Social Media's topic in World News
At 4 am and with his bindle empty, Im sure Hunter ( or any other fiend) would gladly do a line of sawdust. You never know, it might have a flake or two of puro in there. -
Watched The Iron Claw with the Mrs. last night, based on a true story about a wrestling family in Texas. Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White ( from Shameless and The Bear) star in it. I had never heard of this family or what they actually went through. We liked it. Imdb gives it an 8, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21064584/

Phuket officials ban sun lounges and alcohol from Freedom Beach

What happened to the 10% rule at Kata? I'm not sure how bad other beaches are, but Kata is certainly not only occupying 10% of the public spaces. -
Why not put to bed the calls of lack of mental fortitude and take a competency test? It seems like the logical thing to do. They could also release the interview from back in 2017 and also subpoena Hur. Why not get to the bottom of it and end the speculation one way or another? If he's mentally fit, great, if he's not, next........

Glen Greenwald is pretty independent. I agree that 99% of media is propoganda. MSM is handed a script that they recite from and are told what stories to cover/not cover. Notice how the farmer uprising all over Europe is pretty much bottled up. You won't see the BBC, CNN, MSNBC etc covering this. This is just one example of how MSM is steered to cover certain things, and not to cover other things.
