same.
most i give a wide berth.
even the thais i had breakfast with this morning. trying to get an honest and straight forward answer out of them was like pulling teeth!
They have to go all round the houses and back again before they tell you what they really want.
It’s hard for straight talking foreigners to understand this frustrating aspect of Thai culture.
well that is a shame indeed, I used to like going to Savanny for a few days.
Not that I needed to as I have the required funds for an extension, but was nice to know that there was always a friendly embassy to fall back on.
Can you feel the screws tightening yet?
I certainly can!!
Yesterday I was visiting a friend in Bangkok and was accosted by these 2 friendly african guys on my way to 7/11.
They kept calling me ‘bro’ and making sniffing nosies.
I thought it was a bit strange but they seemed nice enough and even gave me a fist bump and a ‘respect' !
I felt like a real homeboy, one of the main g’s.
are people always this friendly in Sukhumvit or was it just my good energy they were attracted to?
thanks for the clarification and I apologize for the stereotyping.
It's just a lot of foreigners come to Thailand and end up marrying bar girls.
Mostly blokes with very low self esteem and prioritize thinking with the little head over the big one!
Best of luck to you.
