    I have seen instances of Farang husbands trying to point out to their Thai Mia Farangs (Foreigner’s Wives) that they are actually the Farangs now in their husband’s home country! it didn’t end well on most of these occasions! ????

    On a bit of a tangent but it always surprises me how few Westerners realise that the famous ‘Massaman (or Matsaman) Curry’ in Thailand simply translates as ‘Muslim Curry’?

    It is also made worse by adding the prefix ‘Ai’ as in ‘Ai Farang’ a very derogatory term for a generally white European or Western man.

    Farang comes from the nearest Thai pronunciation of the word ‘Frankish’ meaning a person from France,probably due to all of Thailand’s neighbours (Vietnam,Cambodia and Laos) being under their rule as French Indochine/Indochina? The original word pronunciation was Farangse but shortened over time to the now infamous Farang!

    I lived in Cebu for two years and the Filipinos are more interested in music and singing than they are in fighting,they are like the Irish of South-East Asia!     The roofs in Thailand are steel like factory units in the west,seriously? What next do they use the corrugated asbestos sheeting also,like a commercial unit I honestly never knew how poor building standards were over there just laughable?

    It depends what the heat or cold is transferring through quite obviously and it is called thermal bridging but I wouldn’t expect you to know that,you seem rather clueless tbh? It’s why aluminium frames are no longer used for windows in colder countries like the UK and Canada,UPVC is preferred due to the rate of thermal bridging being much lower make sense?
