  1. Yes I have children and yes I have a very spoilt daughter who I protect as I do with my older son. I never would allow any of my children to get themselves into dangerous situations. I am also quite willing to spend the remaining years of my life in prison for any retribution reqired for my children. Lol, I am the opposite of a pacifist. I am ex military who spent 4 years out of 11 years on active service. I am also well aware that quite often a women will lie especially when scorned, where men will confront and possibly fight. I have noticed when I've been in a relationship I am a Saint but when we split become the devil himself (4 out of 5 times). So when confronted with a one sided story I am very sceptical and I will try and look at both sides then conclude what I perceive more likely to be true. When I read " I'd cut his balls off", " I'd hang him/kill him" no they wouldn't and people who talk like that are exactly as I said.
  2. I would disagree. The fuel management system is very finally ballanced and any changes however small require it to be reset (dyno). This is fact. However you can run your car on high octane fuel but damage will occur eventually if on day one you use non recommended fuel (running rich) which the engine is not ballanced for. The same with all those you see using lpg because it saves a few baht. The dangers for the engine is very simple most of them are not designed to run that hot. Again yes it will work with a conversion but you take your life in you hand and the hands of "I've got a spanner so I'm a mechanic".
  3. Very valid points. The incident/murders were still there and inquiry on-going when the generals stole the country. The persecution of the nurse was very real when she gave her unwavering statement. She was arrested and thrown in prison on bogus charges and I've not heard anything more about her (if you have please tell). Because of risk factors of what could go wrong with Mr T's return I wonder if he is terminally ill and wanted to see his family and be surrounded by them in his final months or maybe years. However, I think deals were made because if the rightful PM who won the election had become PM then the generals may have found life a little sticky. There is no crime greater than a soldier overthrowing their own government and taking it at the end of a gun. We in Britain learned that way back in 1649 with Oliver Cromwell.
  4. No it is very much the other way. I always question those who scream the loudest are the ones with closets full of skeletons or hiding black desire.
  5. This is backwards and not forward. In the uk every on-line/transaction can be like using a new card. You can select a virtual card and job done. The details keep changing.
  6. I think you will find that vehicle manufacturers go to great lengths tuning their engine to run on certain fuel air mix and when you change one of the mixture yes it will effect the engine management system which in turn will effect or cause damage to the engine and its management system. Gone are the days of plugs and points. Engines now are finally balanced. But hay ho so many experts on here. Ever wondered why there is a sticker telling you which fuel to buy next to the hole to put the fuel in? Maybe just a guide.... lol
  7. Reading some of the comments on here look a lot like virtue signalling, what nonsense! This shake down of a celebrity who in my mind as a moral compass more accurate than most on here. The girl was 17 (in uk 16 is the legal age to have sex and in Thailand it can be as low as 15 in certain situations). At the start of this whole episode it was the girl who commented the first crime "forgery" then proceed to commit crime after crime unless she was just drinking soft drinks. She was not forced to the hotel. She kept her true age secret, only identifying herself as 17 years old at the point of which most men would not have stopped sex but this guy did. He should be commended not persecuted. He is the victim of a shakedown/blackmail attempt (another criminal offence). There are going to be a lot of angry people pointing fingers at this girl: jobs lost, business of millions lost yep. Never mind I'm sure she will try again and I hope none on here fall victim.
  8. I'm sorry but that would have been quite a feat considering it was still ongoing when the general concerned took the country at the end of a gun and Mr T and also Miss T were forced out of the country at the end of said gun. One of the first things he did was persecute said nurse and kill the legal case against him. Also quickly arresting anyone who dared to try and protest corruption, 3 finger salute or eating sandwiches. Let us not forget the childish replacement at night of the monument plaque (which had been in place for many, many years) because of the inscription. One could go on and on but the bottom line is anything the T's are accused of by their political enemies pales in comparison to the actions of the generals committing above all the most grievous crime "a soldier's mutinee by taking their own country at the end of a gun". Oh what a distorted view. Just remember Miss T. did the right thing and called a general election for the people to decide but the genrals rolled in....... and set Thailand back another 10 years.
  9. Really! The remark is very relevant. I understood and totally agree.
  10. At least he obtained his wealth by business and not form a quite basic military wage.
  11. Would it not make more sence to round up bad Thai actors like taxi mafia, currupt police shake downs, club, pub doormen beating tourist to a pulp and of course restaurants, bars etc from padding bills etc, etc the list goes on and on...
  12. 2002 was when I first went to Thailand. Scuba diving instructor on Kow Tow then 2005 Bangkok as a Teacher when I first used the original Thai visa for teaching jobs and placing adverts for required teachers. Left after the first coup I experienced Mr T. Went back to thailand in 2010 built a house and then my second coup so experienced that mess till 2019 and left over the 400k/800k baht deposit as against my principles. Over all those years I've dabbled with Thai visa and watched read and on occasion left comments. I also noticed the influx of accounts after the coup with very pro coup bad grammar accounts. I also noticed when you joined not that long ago.
  13. Utter dribble. Why spout rubbish, all you are doing is showing at best lack of knowledge. What crime did she actually commit? Rice pledge which was a really good policy and several times over the years it would have paid dividends. Greedy currupt officials stole not her. She called an election and as I said before land was sold and a coup. If you think that the crime of the military taking power at the end of a gun is ok then persecuting any and all who stood in their/his way is ok please get your moral compass checked. Personally it sickens me to my stomach. The persecuted nurse who witnessed the murder of unarmed civilians under the order of general........... sick.
  14. You did see the video! Maybe you are OK with your wife, sister, mother or daughter being man handled. Personally I don't. Maybe have your moral compass checked.
  15. Unbelievable people on here. She was ousted by what is the most serious criminal act in a democracy "a military coup". She did the right thing and called an election and the opposition went into meltdown and tried to stop the ballot knowing she would easily win so some land was purchased and a coup was bought. The country again dragged down with Unbelievably high levels of coruption and incompetence. The real criminals walk free with justice pushed aside and any who protested thrown in prison. Temple murders, gold mine, toyota shack down, military corruption, slavery one could go on and on. However, these are not crimes but currupt officials who stole in the rice pledge scheme are the then serving pm fault, oh what happened to all the money when the rice was sold off?
  16. I think your assumption that the reason people in the west pull out of the way of ambulance (you will find all emergency vehicles when lights flashing) has nothing to do with fines and all to do with road manor's.
  17. Had a long think and I initially came to Thailand for scuba diving after seeing a holiday brochure at a married friends house. I was shocked as having served in Hong Kong Thailand had a very seedy reputation so i avoided the place. Maximum time I would spend in Bkk was one night then on a bus to Champon for the boat to Kow Tow. I fell in love with Kow Tow when it was a paradise of sandy streets and the most deadly thing to watch out for were falling coconuts. So not everyone initially comes for the women. My friend and his wife definatly didn't and neither did I.
  18. I believe break fluid is better as you can't just repaint it as the fluid reacts with the metal or might just be an old wives tail as never been that pissed off to try it.
  19. Is it just me but not much of a house for a Rear Admiral!
  20. Or maybe, just maybe another angle: thai woman driver hits russian man's vehicle then tries to drive off. Russian man tries to stop her then Thai man jumps out of her car and attacks russian but gets slapped about...... Sounds more normal Thailand.......
  21. Yes. 100% yes. What I am surprised with this article is the 200,000baht price tag when it is or was quite common for families to sell their daughter for as little as 20,000baht. Still in Thailand it is common for massage, bars etc to lend money to families or girls so they are trapped. Very common.
  22. And if you are caught you will do time. This is Thailand!
  23. Really nieve thing to say. Many young guys get knocked out by men in their 50's or even 60's. New a real gentleman with only one leg knocked 2 young gus out who were throwing their weight around. Only one leg and 60.
