  1. No flies on them! Only been known for at least 12,000 years "Göbekli Tepe" and just up the road in China 2400 years ago ish they were recording astronomical events.
  2. Or thought he was above board by using an agent then decided to do it himself. This would not be the first time this has happened. If he went to immigration then isn't it something like a 25k fine then all is OK?
  3. Really? The uk has just had and is continuing to have beautiful weather.
  4. So will the man in charge who stole the country at the end of a gun now face the same justice as the duly elected lady PM who had to/told to leave Thailand?
  5. More than likely drinks were added to his bill that he didn't order.
  6. Am I the only person who wonders why these so called "master mind" scammers all seem not to have a pot to "PP" in yet they are supposed to have taken millions?
  7. Not quite, they need a boat that can take them a few miles off the coast of France (helped by the French) then our treasonous political elite have them picked up and taken to the UK, put up in 5 star hotels even having their own doctors and dentists then given pocket money along with free meals.
  8. It's only 4,000 baht. For a man of his stature very insignificant. He should of immediately given the 4,000baht to charity and then it would grow in significantly in worth.
  9. Technically an American can (enough to build a nice house on) the big However, is as far as I'm aware no land department in Thailand has ever granted a grain of Thai soil to an American.
  10. Obviously the gentleman has far more humanity that the scum who desiccated the poor baby and possibly murdered her. Hart breaks.
  11. Not at all! Kow tao is spelt many different ways like many Thai words including places. Khow Taow etc. I speak very little Thai for two simple reasons: first when I was teaching I witnessed foreign teachers using their class who they were meant to be teaching English practicing their Thai which I felt was very wrong. Second my children are bilingual as I have only spoken English to them and their mother speaks Thai to them (even now living in the uk). I also found when living in Bangkok there is enough English words now in Thai vocabulary than understanding conversations is easy.
  12. Now they are and have been for a few years. Have some advice for you which I was given as a newbie in Thailand "Never invest more in Thailand than you can comfortably just walk away from".
  13. Think you need to check your memory. I was living and working in Thailand during Taksin and the coup. Life was great when Thaksin was the big boss then the coup!!! things changed including attitudes towards expats. English teachers were replaced with "pilipean" teachers. Visa rules changed and droves of expats left me included.
  14. Probably because they do not qualify and if they were there when brexit happened they obviously didn't bother to do the paperwork. If you have the money/income visa's are not a problem in most countries. I have a good friend who has a great retierment in the med (yes eu).
  15. I can't read this cult nonsense. We used to laugh at the man in the street with billboard saying "The end is near". Since the 1940's the world had been going to freeze, burn up, no ice sheet to much ice now climate change (which is and always has changed. 40 to 0. Is the definition of madness believing this time!!
  16. One day your rose coloured glasses will clear and by then it will most likely be to late for you and like many become trapped. In your eyes I probably know nothing but with only first landing in Thailand in 2002, living island life on Kow Tow which then was a paradise (not anymore), living the Bangkok life and also rural southern Thailand and things are not rosey at all. TAT are a joke, Thailand should be a holiday wonderland and not far off perfect but greed and theft of funds it regressed instead of progressed. Roads and infrastructure are non existent (being disabled and holidaying in Thailand is a no no then there is the Mafia in the form of police, taxi military and the risk of being attacked or bitten by rabid dogs or thai men oh and the deadly roads. If I did not have family there I would never set foot in the place but hay I know nothing.
  17. The dog should be put down and compensation paid (million plus) as those are lifetime facial scares. I hate seeing dogs not on a leash because you never know. I hate idiots who say "I have total control of my dog" No you do not as the unexpected can happen. My dogs were always lashed unless working on a shoot.
  18. Really! Subs, aircraft and tanks they the people who were arrested for daring to protest about corruption even before they went anywhere, just sitting on a train.
  19. I can't believe people cheer cashless society! Have they not learned anything? Canada freezing Bank accounts was bad enough just imagine governments with specific power like "you have had your 2 beers this week so no more beer or your carbon credit exceeds your allocation as a nothing person so no heating/aircon/electricity or no meat... wake up for heaven sake!!!
  20. The quote there is high risk groups. That's where the child is already at risk of dying. REALY!!!
  21. Try educating yourself. First go research direct to places like UK. GOV website where facts are shown and not spin from vested interest xxxxx (can't call them people). Even the UK had to stop this nonsence about children getting vax.
  22. Thailand is a third world country, why baulk at that? It is part of it's charm sometimes.
  23. Bats as well? Even GB with it's very strict checks and animal movement regulations and is classed as Rabies free has had deaths from Rabies from Bat bites etc....
