Where did it say they were 15 in the post? Under 19 is classed as underage in prostitution Thailand. The term "to young to concent" used yet in villages up and down Thailand girls 15 or younger marry all the time and sometimes to much older men. Young girls of the very poor are often sold into basic bondage to karaoke/bar etc. This has been thai cultural for hundreds of years. Right or wrong people should never judge through western culture eyes.

Years ago I thought about opening a business in Thailand but very soon realised after hearing of several drive by shootings from jealous people. From pub entertainment restaurant to even a noodle shop. Then the knock on the the door with a simple we want your business. Not worth the hassle as didn't really need the money.

On one of my first trips to thailand I saw something like this first hand. 6 Lane Road, well lit street lights. Stopped in a taxi as a speeding motorbike came flying down the road a smashed into back of a taxi. It was surreal so unbelievable then I saw how thai drives just swerved past the body in the road. I stupidly got out the taxi to prevent the body being run over again. Didn't last long as I also nearly became a victim.

Not really, hitting your head on concrete etc can be very deadly especially the weak back of the head. Really sad and his friend will now carry this guilt for the rest of his life. I had 2 friends in my youth "teens" they were inseparable and would die for each other. However one day they got into a fight at home and one brother picked up a golf club hitting his brother once on the head "Dead!" He was never the same again and I would be very surprised if he is still alive as he carried so much guilt.
