Fistfight in Pattaya Leaves Australian Tourist With Head Injuries
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Why? What a twisted nasty arrogant thing to say. A tourist gets attacked by a young Thai who ran away (this act in itself is an indication of his guilt otherwise he would have stayed and filed a police report/compensation).- 111 replies

It is far more dangerous than people realise. People hold their breath and dive down. They have a great old time the pressure makes the body think it has more O2. However, as they get closer to the surface the body is saturated with Co2 only inches from the surface and they pass-out AKA Drown..

BOI Seeks Private Businesses to Promote LTR Visa Program
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I can assure you I had enough income to stay in Thailand. Money was not the issue; uncertainty with ever changing rules. There was the over hanging threat of compulsory insurance because 8 years prior I looked into it for just my wife and son (my age would have been shockingly high) and it was far cheaper for me to buy a nice vehicle and my motorbikes all of which could be sold if needed and every 3 years I had a bonus on selling a vehicle which I would never have got with insurance). There was also the thought of walking about with a 400/800k target on my back. Thailand is a country that has had cases of families tortured and murder over 100k. The final straw was being told by an imigration woman who I had seen every 90 days and yearly for 8 years said "it's only 800k". -
The Thai military (being an exsoldier it is very hard for me to call them that) have a reputation for murdering their own people.

No! However, they should. That is a much needed foreign currency. Thailand (not the majority of the people) hate you and want to squeeze every drop of blood they can and the Thai attitude of tough if you don't like it leave under the belief there are always more queuing up to come and live. At some point a while ago that changed and the realisation any sane person wod have people aren't blindly retiring in Thailand. People now research and also may expats come to a tipping point and decide to leave. We did that in 2019 "the whole family back to the uk" left our house etc and it was the best decision we have ever made. Life is good cold but good. -

Well done but some on here just can't help their negative remarks. -
And that's what you took from it! I never said fighter jets used against students. That's some leap.

Ford Dealer Insists Vehicle Was New, Willing To Buy It Back
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand News
Everest 3lt was the top range Everest in Thailand before the redesign 3.2lt Everest (I think). It had 7 seats, leather, TV video drop down screen. There was a smaller engine Everest which had a 2.5lt engine which sold for a million but mine was 1.25 on the road. Wonderful vehicle. -
So many tough experts on here from dating sites to psychology experts. It is easy to slip into an abusive relationship even for Alpha males: responsibilities, the thought of failure add a little bit of disbelief. For me it was the army and going away prolonged putting up with the abuse but coming out of the army and no longer having the getaway marriage did not last long then.

I would need to bow to your knowledge but for me there was only one Ford pickup that I wanted which was the new 5 cylinder 3.2lt wild track. Which had a very good engine. I settled for a Ford Everest 3lt (price was my deciding factor) this turned out to be a great decision as I really loved the vehicle. It was top spec (all black). Yep sad day when I sold it. -
Thaksin To Be Put Behind Bars Upon Return: Nipit
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Really!?! I can't believe anyone would say this about a soldier who granted him and all his mates amnesty of all crimes committed (that in itself screams knowing criminal/treason), rewriting the constitution (even the childish under the cover of darkness stealing and replacing "The" brass plaque), one could go on for days about the criminal activities committed. Being an ex soldier from a military family that goes back hundreds of years, taking your own country at the end of a gun is the worst/lowest level a soldier can stoop and rightly should face a firing squad or hung. A close second is a commander ordering his soldiers to shoot/murder their own unarmed civilians then like a despicable bully destroy a witness nurse who was there and helped those poor people. Thailand deserves better. -
Why? Try reading.

Here we go again with the "anti vax" rubbish! Maybe try and take a look out of your echo box. Things have changed, try looking up this figure 1/800 injured/killed (really shocking figure now emerging from government agencies). It is and always has been accepted that it helps fight viral infections for many years (well up until 2021). Vitimin D3 is now proven in several peer reviewed papers greatly improves immune defense. One can now go on and on. Masks that were known (with many peer reviewed papers written) pre 2021 not to stop a virus due to its size, masks have other purposes. Maybe it's time to stop the slurs or change from anti vaxer to informed and vax fans to the uninformed. It is upto the individual not the collective "We are not Borg".

I don't think they were! I was wanting to buy a Ford Ranger about a year after their release in Thailand (I think) in about 2015 however I was told 12 month waiting list for delivery.... No! No! No. Got a Ford Everest 3lt 4 x 4 7 seat and we all loved it. Only service issue I had was the entertainment system which they could never get to work properly and I got some great excuses over the years. Ants was the best. Even knowing it would be a small issue I would have still purchased it. -
Really! You need to ask?
