  1. Yes. Try watching a senior member being interviewed and admitting the vax had not been tested for transferability. Plus if you think 12 white mice is good enough for you then crack on have you seen the report? Well its just blacked out pages. I got 2 vax and regret it so much. My wife got every one and became iller and iller till she had to stop work oh and about a month after her last shot she got covid. Note I got it as well (last vax was over a year) Mt symptoms lasted a few minutes then was gone. There are so many damaged now and I have several family members injured (try looking at the official uk government figures 1 in 800). The truth will always come out good or bad.
  2. It must be joyous being so squeaky clean. Never cutting your own grass, washing or driving your own car/motor vehicle and many, many more jobs reserved only for Thai's. Sorry but no foreigner in Thailand can survive in Thailand if a vip takes a dislike to them or is jealous (ask the Duch guy and his wife)....?....
  3. It cost me more to get 11 packing boxes out of Bangkok Dock then 30km to the sister in laws than picked up fromour home in scotland via Singapore to Bangkok. Held everything hostage and was not allowed even to pick it up from the Dock.
  4. Being only a master scuba diving instructor with about 400 dives in the gulf of Thailand (2002 - 2005) I have seen vis of 30~40 meters at Sail Rock looking down to the sand bottom from a couple of meters off the surface. Watching people do their skills. Great dives there and yes I dove in very bad vis where seeing more than a couple of meters was challenging also encountered inversion of bad vis to clear vis plus had several great dives with whale sharks. But yes the photo as I said looks photo shopped.
  5. How many dives have you done and where? I will admit it wasn't common, however in the early 2000's I often dived in perfect vis especially around Sail Rock in the Gulf of Thailand. But, the photo does look photo shopped. Both Kow Tow and the diving were perfect back then with very few dive experience world wide coming close.
  6. Please explain this bizzare statement? I served in a western military where commissions were not purchased and officers were educated and well trained . I never saw officers drunk infact the few I served with hardly drank. I did only serve 10 and a half years, 3 of which were active service.
  7. Having 12 teeth taking out in one go seems excessive. Then there is the approximate 1/2 a gallon of blood pouring into his mouth without drowning and then no transfusion given (mentioned). The whole family have a right to be angry and asking questions.
  8. What a shame, the poor bird doesn't look in very good condition. I hope it finds a good falconer to take care of it for the next 30 years or so, (Raptors live nearly twice as long with a good falconer taking care of them). The eagle will not last long in the wild and probably never will if its been owned from a chick (nest robbed) If it is rope around its leg then this poor bird has had an idiot owning it. Hope it doesn't end up in a Thai zoo.
  9. Just RACIST. Why is Thailand getting away with this? If this happened in the uk OMG the uproar, the protest and riots.
  10. I already did. Best move I ever did for my family.
  11. I hope not! I have to put up with being called farang as it's a term that's been used for over a hundred years so I think lady boys can also be used. Keep your woke pc out of Thailand please!..
  12. This just shows the education level of those incharge. What a statement. I hope this gathers momentum and that idiotic statement gets people who sanctioned this charged and fired.
  13. I remember those days when I got so angry after making immaculate colour copies that looked identical to the originals only to be told wrong way or told need this go get it and then told need something else go and get it then told need something else.... 3 times..... The wife then took over dealing with them as I thew my Teddy out of the pram refusing to ever deal with them. Always saw agents handing over stacks of passports (they always got vip treatment). So glad we left. The "it's only 800,000baht" was the final straw.
  14. Not a lot you can do when someone hits you while riding a motorbike. Even bicycles are lethal on Thailand roads. How many "Round the world" cyclists arrive in Thailand on their last leg only to be killed. RIP.
  15. 99% agree, there is always that pesky 1% (God's will).
  16. Again wow! Firstly your views on the UK are shocking and pathetic. You have obviously read some dreary articles and have such a biased and almost racist that's totally ill-informed view of a country you obviously have never been to.. You still have not grasped the shocking danger for tourists in Thailand 1 in every 9 days dying on motorbikes, let that sink in Jack) and your I'm OK Jack attitude speaks volumes to your character. I have lived and worked in Thailand, we still own a house there but our home is in Scotland. When I was younger I rode 12 months of the year in Scotland and enjoyed every day. Now I enjoy sitting in my garden spring summer and autumn (even some winter nights with a firepit and friends). The sky is often clear blue with no choking smog, we have great family holidays in the uk and also wonderful holidays in Thailand visiting friends. Shocking attitude. Very sad.
  17. I wish that were true, the next coup's ink will still be wet. The only way to end the cycle is to hand out severe punishments to all those officers who were involved as well as removing all their assets which I suggest might help the country out financially for years.
  18. Bizarre! Well obviously Darwin sometimes fails! Little 125cc they rent out in Thailand can well exceed 80mph which is fast and lethal for a novice. This fact was realised years ago in the UK and now a CBT has to be done along with a written test before going on the road. The law in Thailand is "Thai's need a Thai Driving License to ride motorbikes". A shop should be liable for correctly insuring motorbikes they rent out to cover accidents and injuries as do other countries. Try checking the statistics of road deaths in Thailand before making juvenile bizzare statements. The fact one tourist in nine days a tourist is dying is alarming and the figure shocked me. From a Biker of over 45 years (with 20 years riding motorbikes in Thailand) yes I have both UK and Thai Driving licences.
  19. Really! Wow what a jump of a conclusion!!! Because no Thai's die on the roads or are all their deaths because of road rage. If I'm reading the article and it's 15 dead tourists in phuket from motorbikes then that's serious scary as one dying every 9 days in Phuket. Stop renting motorbikes out unless a valid relevant licence is shown and shops have valid first class insurance on every bike.
  20. Really! Rather arrogant remark. Once said to me as a teen by a very hard man "never fight with a man who has lost his temper, come back the next day and deal with it then".
  21. Some just can't help it! This is a Thai forum not a rest of the world forum! In saying that this type of crime seems rather common in Thailand. Train attendant springs to mind and another was a man who raped and murdered his daughters friend.
  22. You have no clue and maybe stop preening! A minimum requirement for an expat retierment visa is 800,000baht in a Thai bank (basically untouched) and this means a minimum of 66,666.66 baht a month so starting life as a retired expat your first year costs you over 1.6 million baht so that's nearly 75,000baht a month before even considering retierment visa. And yes spouse visa is half if your wife is Thai or double if your wife isn't Thai. There are fewer and fewer expats struggling on minimum income. When I left in 2019 my income was well over a million and my lifestyle was slowly eroding. Nearly all the expats friends I had are no longer living in Thailand with some leaving massive investments there (houses unsold).
  23. Just shows the mental capacity of those incharge. I think Thai Army should be removed from the dictionary and replaced with Mafia Militia or Mafia Heavy Armed wing along with Mafia ocean wing and then the Mafia air wing. Or could call them the 30 minute boys about the amount of time before they surrendered and then joined Japan in ww2.
  24. Only if you can be 100% certain and if found to be innocent then all involved in the execution should also be killed and then if he/she is found to be guilty after all then those who killed the executioners are themselves killed and on and on it goes. Its a deep dark hole!!!
  25. Every time I see these stories the first thing that comes to mind is: was the Landlord not giving back the deposit? I have felt a few times wishing I had empties all the bins and any other rubbish I could find after being ripped off by a landlord and not just in Thailand. I've been hit with the 4x plus normal electricity charge coincidentally the amount of the owed deposit a few times in Thailand.
