Was that from a whip round in the officers mess? It's shocking how small. Embarrassing for Thailand!!!

Do you also expect a wire fence to keep mosquitoes out of your garden? A virus is a massive 20 nono microns which is slightly smaller than those pollution particles quality masks stop (1,000 times smaller than a micron). This fact I well now and several peer review papers were written. Try reading them as they are very interesting.

How sad is this. So desperate that going to a thai prison is preferable to his life. People on here just don't realise how desperate poor Thai people can get. No state safety net: no money no food even drinking water. It is very sad. And every expat walks about with a 400k ~ 800k baht target on their backs....

Buy insurance: British tourist issues warning after moped crash
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
OMG! The poor girl was on her way to go Snorkeling so would not have been drunk. These are scooters and you can ride a scooter ie 125cc with a provisional licence and go on your merry way for 2 years with a CBT. Many reasons you can loss control of a motorbike. The child is humbled by her mistakes and says don't do what I have done. So many perfect people on here!!! She is left with a reminder every day for the rest of her life. Have some compassion. -
Thaksin To Be Put Behind Bars Upon Return: Nipit

Black and white if only the world and especially Thailand was like that. To be able to be so lillie white in your life is so commendable. I would sooner be Taxin at the end of time when his life's worth is weighed at judgement than a general who manages to become a multi millionaire on a very basic wage and then rolls the military out to overthrow a country a crime that exceeds all others. Never forget the rightful PM stood down and called a general election and she would have been reelected by a land slide. Oh I did not like Mr T. but the people of Thailand did and very much still do and they are all that should count. -

Russian Tourists Help to Clean Up Beach on Samui Island

You really do need to learn history. The British Empire which you seem to be implying killed millions is farcical. The British Empire put a stop to the mass murder by local leaders one of which had an annual cull of 150,000 non of a certain religion. Never forget it was Great Britain that stopped slavery, lost thousands of British navy sailors stopping the slave ships plus paid retribution to release slaves (40% of GDP) a loan the UK only recently finished paying back. So please pray tell me where those millions have come from? Perhaps you meant saved. If you want to see the effects of the British Empire please take a look at the Increase in population in those countries. Then take a look at what happens to those countries when Britain handed them back.... Britain was a great administrator and builder and not a destroyer. -

In a kangaroo court. No matter what trumpet up charges they pale in comparison to a military coup which should hold a death penalty. Oh wait just grant yourself immunity and rewrite the constitution even remove/deface monuments....- 141 replies

Back in early 2000 there was a guy in Kow Tow doing this. I found out when I walked in to Gulivers in bkk and it was full of diving instructors and dive masters all renewing their "lost/destroyed" passports. When I arrived back on Kow Tow there he was sitting in his shop with the same sign up advertising visa's..... Only in Thailand.

Thailand’s democracy index for 2022 jumps to 55th place in world ranking

Why mention the uk? I think you will find that you get a vote in the uk that is counted and I'm sure you will see at the next general election how a party is punished by the electorate. The UK has a new party that could well upset the apple cart at the next election. -
American tourists spend more money than Europeans in Thailand: survey
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So am I getting this right? They ask 200 tourists how much they spend? So what this tells me Americans have a tendency to exaggerate!!! Or eu countries don't want to be seen as arrogant and 2 week millionaire's.... -
Nice try: the wiring in Thailand is very, very dangerous. I can not count the number of times I've seen bare wires sticking out of poles or running along a bridge within hand reach of a child not even mentioning cables low enough to decapite. Electrocution very common in Thailand. So many corners cut to save a few baht. When my house was built I was getting shocks every time I touched an electrical appliance. Turned out to be the electrician had only used half of an earth rod. Put a full rod in problem solved.

No it's to make extortion easier: 25,000baht now or 500,000baht and 5 years in prison later: "You Choose?" It's a bit like the dope scams of The Full Moon Party. Poor kids being arrested and sometimes after being set up, then the phone call to mummy and daddy relaying the threats when infact if it went to court a 5k~10k fine.
