There is no excuse for assault with a gang of so called doormen against one man or person. In the uk I'm sure the law still is 7 on 1 regardless of the level of violence is attempted murder. I'll go out on a limb here; obviously the club obtained a work permit for said ex employee!!! They are like little children lying and making stupid excuses digging themselves deeper into the brown stuff.

Saw lots of this in the gulf of Thailand (nearly every dive site had discarded fishing nets of some kind). Don't get me started on long tails and boats dropping their anchors on choral beds and driving their boats over clearly marked dive groups on marked dive sites. Maybe it's all better now!!!@@?

Even worse is asking the question "where is the ........?" and getting the "We no have" because they can't be bothered to look for you. Then you see what you asked for. How about watching them opening 200 cartons of cigarettes and asking "can I buy a carton only to be told "we don't have!" Customer service is really bad in Thailand. Prices similar to UK even higher yet they pay their staff a fraction and work them twice as hard 12+ hours a day and 6 days a week.

Really, that is your take on it? I would suggest that more threats, intimidation or even brown envelopes will be tried. However, due to their "We are the greatest in the universe" attitude they are about to be re-educated. I hope that she is already setting up the hidden cameras in preparation....

Always the same on here! Blame the victim. There is never a reason for a group of doormen or security to beat up anyone or even raise their voices, NEVER!!! Time for Thailand to make the leap from primeval atleast renaissance...

Why? They were very probably just doing what they were told. This is not a one off infact its well established.

Why? Anyone can talk to interpol! I would imagine a celebrity would have many friends which equates to lots of contacts. Extortion under threats is a crime and with it being done on a foreign person's outside the Chinese embassy where the fact they were Taiwanese may have some relevance and make it a far more serious crime international.

My biggest regret I have now is doing the Tiger Temple during a trip to the river Kwia and the Graves and the elephant riding. I should of known better. However, I do regret not buying an elephant painting. That was a "I'll get one next time" moment which never happened.

Think you need to stop watching documentaries about this era in American history and start reading. Now first up I'm not an American fan but history is history. Fact 1 America had all but destroyed the North ability to fight before they left 2 years prior. Fact 2. It took the North 2 years to rebuild its infrastructure ability to fight. Fact 3. The corruption and lack of will in the south was the main reason for the defeat. Quite possibly because for years they were used as a secondary force with the USA and some Australian troops doing the heavy lifting. It is just utter nonsense that USA was defeated by the North, America was defeated by anti war protests and feelings back home. Even the disastrous Afghanistan was not a defeat but a severe ineptitude of the US government what a disaster they caused.

Pity Thailand doesn't do the same (or maybe it did very quietly with the return of some jewelry)..

The UK has very quietly stopped the rollout of vaccines for all 16 to 49-year-olds who are not considered at risk. Nothing to see here move on. I also heard that it's now only being offered for elderly and people with vulnerable health issues and some would or have been saying this should have been the case from the start. Come on Thailand !!!!!

No one seems to be mentioning the fact of the Chinese Embassy and any correlation to a Taiwanese group of people being stopped! Doing the bidding of big brother came to my mind but coincidence is a possibility, maybe!!!

It's always gone on its just now the spotlight is being pointed from outside onto Thailand so the mafia of green blue and brown etc can't be hidden by the definition laws...

Britain has a Space agency and sent a rocket up in 1971 successfully. It also has or is about to launch from a Virgin aircraft a rocket carrying satellits. 1986 saw a British woman in Space (Mz Sherman) and more recently Space walks carried out by Brits. Wish people would stop the derogatory spin about the UK. We just don't boast everytime we cross the road.

Why is it abuse if a policeman in his own time earning extra money for his family? These men and women are not earning a livable wage. Corruption is a different story. I do not see this as any different from doing security work after their shift or driving a taxi as many do.

Grow a pair. For God sake what is wrong with what they have done if off duty. In fact I think they are selling their service cheap. I would use the service 6,000~10,000baht for a chauffered hassle free night out sounds OK. However there is always the chance you end up getting a shake down by those paid to protect...

I've had the police try and scam me in Thailand a few times. However I stand my ground if in the right but if wrong I cough up. My wife and I had this on the Cambodia border "A Shake Down" taken to a porter cabin inside Cambodia surrounded by armed police passports taken and money demanded to get them back. Very intimidating and scary. Yes I believe her and what the police saw was cash in her bag!!! Disgusting Thailand Disgusting.

Why would I need to? It is so easy to cross reference and look it up. Do the search! Taiwan is a recent published official study and being a child of the 60's I grew up seeing the aftermath of the thalidomide scandal (you should look it up). We should never ever forget!!!

I think you will find it has. Excess Deaths all over the world and increases in cardiac problems. Some very good data out of Taiwan who Electrocardiogramed youngsters before and then after a certain medical procedure and the findings are horrifying.... The truth will out. One should never forget about the Thalidomide Scandal and the fact they new for 8 years before it was actually cancelled.

I loved this Island back in early 2000's. It truly was a paradise. The streets were sand, life was great as a Divemaster & Diving Instructor (over 300 dives in the Gulf). Back then the 3 big killers were skin diving, scooters and falling coconuts. However, it all changed concrete poured everywhere and I felt the atmosphere changed dramatically back in 2006 and I never went back.

Recently it has become very common for young fit males to drop dead from heart related issues. A direct line can be drawn to something that occurs on mass but shhhhh we are not allowed to mention it!!!

Word of advice: Don't get out of the police car when it stops on the top floor of the car park on the way to the court!
