Thailand Targets Eight Million European Tourists for Record 2024
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
OMG! What dribble. I suppose it is the twisted bitter leftist in you that oozes venom from every pore! I'm a very proud Brit/Scot who would love a PM like Trump. A man who loves his country, takes no pay and has had to fight every day for the past 10 years when he could have tucked tail and lived out his life in luxury. Thailand always comes out with crazy wish lists. An 8 million or an 8 fold increase but anything is possible when you just pluck figures out of the air. Maybe Thailand should invest in it's infrastructure first. Also stop their xenophobic rants. -
Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Definitely getting a feeling of "Dejavu"! I remember the same speculation "it will never happen" with the 800,000baht in the bank. Guess what it did. Immediately becoming part of immigration processes. I can 100% see this being added to the mountain of paperwork required to extend your visa. Like I was told over 20 years ago. Never invest more than you can afford to walk away from in Thailand and I lived by that. Yes I have a small house but I have two children (Thai/British), yes I've bought vehicles but they can be sold. After 8/9 years in 2019 I/we did exactly that "walked away". Immigration statement "its only 800,000baht" was the straw that brock the camel's back!!! Moving back to the uk was the best move ever for us. Children really blossoming in the UK. -
Foreigners brawl on Patong Beach sparks criticism of Thai laws
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Another biggoted/racist post! What nasty people on here. Very anti foreigner and coincidently these xenophobe's seemed to have arrived on thaivisa with the last coup (was very noticable). Why be on this site if you hate us with such venom? And, that is a serious question. Two men having a slap about, one not even bothering to get off his bike is really a non story. Foreigners tend to fight one on one where as Thais will attack on mass and do not care if the person is over 65 and as long as he/she is a foreigner. Stomping on heads is the normal. Then when two thais start to fight; knifes and guns come out in quick time. The xenophobia in Thai's disgusts me but thankfully not all Thai's are the same. Xenophobs should be careful what they wish for, no foreigners and Thailand would suffer greatly. Maybe these nasty ignorant people would like a Thailand/North Korea economy? -
Filipina's Viral Video Criticising Thai Women Sparks Backlash
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You obviously haven't been treated with respect and like a woman's king. It is a wonderful feeling experiencing your wife when in public treat you as the head of her family and her focus is making you happy. However, we all know that when alone the tables are turned and the wife becomes the queen or princess in your life. 18 years and we are still going strong. She spoils me and I spoil her. -

BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Nasty, nasty people on here! A kid has died another in serious danger. The pain and distress his family must be feeling. A parents worst nightmare, regardless of how he died. Deepest sympathy to his family. P.S. To all the scum on here, get a life! Such really nasty pathetic animals..... -

Unsolved mystery: Thai police dig into Canadian man’s death
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I think it is you who requires to actually listen to the medical exerts. All of the original statements about the Gene therapy (it was never a vaccine) have already been proven false verging on being lies. Even the deadly covid virus (same virus as the cold/flu) was nothing more than that flu virus and not even a very deadly strain (man edited). Average leathal age was higher than the average mortality age. Even the governments own data showed this (people to lazy to check). When some people noticed the figures were promptly hidden. Let us never forget the massive increases in young men simply dropping dead and the increase of cardiovascular inflammation and death. The increases in cancers in people. But hay many new millionaires and billionaires were made. -
Tak Bai Massacre Case Dismissed as Statute of Limitations Expires
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thailand should be kicked off the UN for this. Infact they should never have been let in. I hope Trump pulls out of the un and gets a grip of Nato.- 57 replies

Phuket’s new tourism tax won’t affect foreign residents or workers
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
It is more about the feeling of being fleeced. If I never had a house, family and friends I would never set foot in Thailand. Its glory days ended 20 years ago. -
Thai Navy's Submarine Agreement with China Nearing Completion

If and it's a big IF, this ever arrives and works or sinks China now has a GPS tracker for US combined operations. This sub will be full of hidden traders as were found in the UK ministers vehicles. Just saying! -
Thailand’s vehicle production hits the brakes in a sharp downturn
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The world governments push for Blood EV's, forcing manufacturers and dealers to sell even at a loss a percentage of Blood ev's or face massive fines. However, people do not want them (except for the zealots who spent vast sums of money on their Blood ev and can't face how stupid they were). Imagine leasing a vehicle and after 3 years being told you have to pay £30,000 because its now worth nearly nothing just to hand it back! Note reason I use the term Blood ev's is from the term "Blood Diamonds" which described Diamonds that were mined in Africa by War Lords and the miners were slaves under the gun! Just like the rare earth metals mined for batteries today in Africa. -
Taxi Driver Arrested for Attacking Australian Tourist
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I find your statement bizarre. I lived in Bangkok for a few years and had several run it's with taxi drivers in that time as i do everytime i stay there for a few days, from over charging, taking extended journey's. Deciding they did not want to go so dropped off to get another taxi oh and my biggest pain "having to beg them to take you somewhere" only to get a shake of the head ""NO!". And, the No meter with stupid price!!! To compare to the uk is ridiculous. Your not in the uk your in Thailand. The majority of taxis are good but plenty of bad apples. Sometimes it's better to hire a taxi for the day. -
Part of Koh Kham Island for Sale for 1.8 Billion Baht
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand News
And people still believe in rising sea levels and islands and coastal areas going to be under water in a few years! Oh I forgot, it all should already be under water.... Apart from the above you would need to be mad buying something like this in Thailand. Change of government etc and everything built can be pulled down! I personally wouldn't by a shed. -

BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News

Expats in Thailand urged not to worry about negative income tax
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Keep shining your rose coloured glasses! I remember when the 400k/800k was first mentioned some on here saying: "They can never do that", well they did! Have a good hard think. How easy will it be for immigration to ask "where is your Tax form"? As part of your annual renewal. They already know you have 800k/400k you brought into the country. They have your bank accounts to check any money coming in. Advice: suck it up and pay or have an exit plan in place. I did in 2018 and left in 2019. When I retire, Thailand will be off our radar as full time residency. -
